I kinda liked the Marauder but then Warhammer came out, and they obsoleted my need for the Marauder. Especially dat Black Widow.

I still think Marauders are pretty good. I drop with a pair of them in my friends lance. They have a lot of fun poking people to death with their AC5s (one does 2 UAC5, the other has 3 AC5).

When I want to poke people to death with class 5 dakka, I ride my trusty Jager-DD with 3xUAC5 mounted high. Black Widow can carry four class 5 ACs.

They are solid. Slightly above average, but nothing impressive. I enjoy them, too, I just wish they weren't so dramatically overshadowed by the Warhammer, because they really should be fairly close.

No reason to spend real money on a mech that is out for c-bills. If you are going to spend money to get the loyalty variant, buy the bushwacker.

Marauder is a solid mech, the 3R and the BH2 are a lot of fun
