Anyways from this you need:
"Push forward team". - For when campers get lazy.
"Hold this position". - For when nascaring... really will get your team killed (moving away from a good position).
"Enemy spotted" (this needs to allow the user to mark an area, target may be using ECM)
NOTE: Current Enemy spotted only shows if you can lock em, this needs to be removed. I want to spot ECM mechs regardless cause they're getting bigger and nastier. Also please create a colour for the bracket as it allows people to FOCUS fire targets
"Lance spotted" (same as above system but allows people to hint at a lance, with possible ECM). As with above, if no specific candidate is marked, it should beacon this on the map for all to see.
"I smell an ambush". Or something along this line, this tells the team to continue with extreme caution e.g. pushing into areas of Viridian which look safe but are very dangerous (lots of mechs can easily come out of hiding to begin attacking). Or a city fight thats about to get nasty.
Dropships need more intelligence, this is obvious. Scouting, you should be able to reduce the timer perhaps by shooting the dropship before the scouting team have got back. This gives you a bit more of a tactical approach. There's no harm in beaconing where the dropship will collect the scouters either, if the defenders see someone sitting for no reason then they'll know there's a dropship coming in at that point
HPG having sliding entrance doors underneath? Be great for making a nice ambush.
Heat effects. If you are nearing 100% and have nothing to show for it........
Make the mech seem steaming hot (escpecially on cold maps), like the way a component is critted and releases a smoke cloud giving away your on high heat. Also cockpits should have boiling effects. Both points here make energy mad builds (most of my mechs) think twice about running hot.
Caustic acid effects like the lava in Terra therma, it should boil and hurt (more of the latter). The acid should be in strategically advangous areas. If you want to take the risk you'd better be weighing up the price.
Pay more reward to those using least % class weight in the match. Normally ends up being lights.
p.s. I wanted to be a games designer in a former life. Let me know if there's a position available
