Why nerf the DD?
Was there some big outcry over op IS mechs again?
Were there a pack of mad DD's running rampant in clan land?
Is there really a dartboard with nerfs on it?
And do DD's really taste good with garlic butter?
It's a wonder anyone plays anything but clan mechs.

It is a nerf, but it's not a terribly significant one

From 15*.7=10.5% chance to jam
to
15*.8=12% chance to jam


Still...this is not among the things I'd touch for a balance change...after all, it's been over 2 years since MGs were gimped, as well as the cACs existing as gimped UACs

The Rifleman should feel bad - It's name is a lie. It isn't until 3026 that a variant is introduced that lives up to the notion of a 'Rifle' mech.

IMO, ALL Mechs with weapon quirks are overbuffed. I can see the need for some armor, structure and accel/decel quirks if the Mech is just plain a $hit design to try to make it better but there should be no weapon quirks. All it accomplishes in adding constant weapon quirks is screwing with balance and contributing to power creep.
