- Don't respond until you have actually played a 12v12 match on the new map. Testing grounds doesn't count.
- Give a succinct verdict of Terra Therma 2, primarily in terms of whether it is balanced and fun to play, rather than how it looks.
- Your verdict should preferably be a single sentence instead of a wall of text.
- Post an appropriate gif. Anime is frowned upon, but tolerated.

EDIT: Not that it's Steam's fault, of course.
EDIT EDIT: Downloading. Whee!

Come on Steam/PGI! I am sitting here wearing my Draconis Combine dogtags, cap and flight jacket that I got from HBS this morning in the post... I want to break them in while I play A BIG STOMPY ROBIT GAME!

Can't say much about how balanced it is yet, but most parts of the map that I have seen look like they were designed for fighting on. They did a good job of including lots of ramps and platforms and stuff, instead of random terrain shapes.

First of all, I HAVEN'T played a match yet, but that's because I'm on allergy meds and I'd rather not punish teammates for me having my bad aim made even worse from this stuff. But I have one thing I CAN comment on that is a genuine problem for me, and probably me alone.
I CAN'T SEE A THING ON THE MINIMAP! It's just a mess to my eyes! I thought Viridian Bog was bad for me, this is just painful!

I'm going to have to actively vote against TT for now because just on the testing grounds I can't see where I'm going or where enemies are on the minimap. PGI WHY.
Edit: After playing several matches, I can 100% confirm I was correct from testing ground work. I can't do a thing on the map. It's a great map, but I can't see anything on the minimap, and I definately can't see the red indicators over enemy mechs.

Definite change in battle speed compared to the old one which is nice, but other than that it seems to be too crowded in some areas... getting caught on teammates more often than any other map which doesn't help when the battle becomes an almost certain brawl.
Conclusion: It looks nice, but it's still not fun to be on.

The sad part is i really loved the old terra, BUT only in conquest mode, where you basically could fight everywhere else but Theta.. I always thought old terra was one of the best conquest maps around, but some how it always ended up on skirmish and DOM.. which was absolutely the worst.

Still, anything that breaks the monotony of HPG/Mining/Crimson is a blessing in my books.

Every battle converged on the same couple of squares.
There's a couple of weird pink-colored circular-like map thingies that make it look like there's a mech way high up on a couple of mountains when there's actually nothing there.
And this goes back to the original map, but why can I get hurt by machine guns but dance in erupting lava? I personally would support real environmental hazards.

To be fair, on a new map, people are going to cluster together... and naturally draw towards the centre. Give it some time, and once people start to develop a familiarity with the map, they'll have an idea of places they can sneak around and begin to take more chances.
