If you're going to sell people mechs. It would be smart or at least a good welcomed business practice to sell things people asked for.

Nope, not buying it. Wallet closed until PGI starts real and steady development beside Mech Packs and half hearted bandaids.

Only four pages of a "see the new spiffy mech we are getting" type thread, with a distinctive majority vibe of indifference, negativity or general disdain. And while most of the disdain is directed to the new mech not being the mech many want, there is also a notable increase here in the tone of "we are sick and tired of moar mechs and nothing else". Excellent. Hope springs eternal.

Its not an omnimech.

But yeah, it has a lot of redundancy between models.

I guess it lets you fine tune just how many lasers eat the dirt.

... What? Who makes a "Super" version of an omni and makes it a battleme-

Silly Clanners, what will they think of next? Releasing a MkII version of an Omni and making it a battlemech (and using the Inner Sphere name in the process?)

Nah, Supernova was released before the advent of omnimech, if you look at her setup, youll quickly find a ˝parent˝ design- King Crab, much like Kraken they both use modified chassis of King Crab, same layout, speed profile..etc.

According to the lore the supernova is actually an older design than the nova. Which makes sense.

4 pages of nope?

Here's another one from me:

NOPE.

The game is stagnating and even if PGI implemented role warfare, infotech and (god forbid) energy draw tomorrow, along with Solaris, I still wouldn't see any reason to keep buying mech packs. We have a billion mechs in the game already. Why on earth would we keep buying more?

Sell us that offline PVE single player campaign now, plz.

For: Great artwork, as always. Nostalgia.

Against: Literally everything else.

Hmmm. Nah.

- bad hard points (and the best one is the pay extra hero)
- low engine cap....
- again a assault?! i want a light, give me a LCT IIC!

only pro; it looks good...

It's a Clan mech, and not one I want. Not buying.

Not planning to buy.
Not interested in another assault at this time (can we please please please get some new lights released).
No nostalagia for me with this mech.
None of the variants really intrigue me and they are all too similar to each other.

The new pre-order bonuses as seen in supernova and bushwacker has me feeling meh. I was so-so on getting the marauder IIc, but ultimately did because I saw decent value in the standard pre-order pack. Bonus mechs, bonus modules, bonus colors, bonus patterns, bonus cash, bonus premium time are items I can get behind. bonus decals are not. WIth the right bonuses I can be convinced to buy mech packs for mechs I am not in love with, but removing multiples of the bonus items I do enjoy and replace them with decals means that I become disincentived with pre-ordering anything but the mechs that I absolutely love (of which this is not one). In these cases I can patiently wait until the mechs are out for cbills and try them then.

This is starting to take the piss. When was the last new (not revamped) map? Game mode? Content update? Skill tree update?

Well revamped maps were asked for by the playerbase, Scout mode in FP, content is a general word (I could say the Huntsman & technically be correct), last one is legit but supposedly coming... Soon.

Nope, not my cup of tea....

Also I want to see some actual progress on PGI's part, not just more mechs.

Name recognition is one of the most important things to think about when you plan on selling a product. That is true even in the Battletech universe. Diamond Shark knew that it would be better to name it the idiotic IS name just because it was more recognizable to the unwashed masses ;)

The firepower potential will be pretty far up, and will have will have jumpjets to help it along, but I have a feeling that it will do very poorly. Due to MWO's backwards heat system, 6 of anything followed with "large" will make even the most sinked of clan 'mechs overheat to hell and back. Not worth it.

Think there is enough hate mongering in this thread? I may buy a basepack. Haven't bought anything in a while and would like to support one of the few games I keep coming back to.
