I've actually got a very interesting side effect from the sound effects on the map, even when the blaring isn't happening. It seems that there's a lot of background noise going on that jams VoIP for me a little, to the point where people sound hilariously a bit like dubstep. It may of course be my computer being on the fritz (I sometimes, after getting disconnected, still hear people talking when I'm staring at the login screen), but I hope it's just my end.

Yes pretty annoying, the most of the horn sounds are just bu###t like the pkoenix, kickers, sonic boom and so on ...the jade falcon and wolf horns are simply horrible bad and anoying .... Shoud be an option for all other players to turn it off, that only the mech whos equpped with,can hear it. The most are pretty uninspired bad. Some of the Faction horns are ok but the hornns like the ones i said above are just....
