I am torn. On one hand, I love quads. On the other hand, Clan Nova Cat burnt down the last operational LAM production plant at the time of the invasion. It did not need to be burnt down. It simply had to be sent to hell.

I'll take a future of only Clan mech releases before I even entertain the idea of LAMs.

I think it's best leaving LAMs in the past, the crappy Harmony Gold shitstorm past.

And a 25% chance of the legs getting a cramp.

Sadly, PGI can't even make an LBX that can change ammo types, I fear a mech that changes form is well beyond their capacity.

Problems

1. Quadruped. Russ has already said not happening.
2. LAM won't happen.
3. Not that many people want it.

Want it, along with DFA's. Only LAM piloting skill needed would be predicting when your mech would fail so you could kamikaze an enemy when you crash.

Personally I would be quite content with the standard Scorpion BattleMech:
