I guess not many who would share this Problem would know that you can circumvent it using Tor and some might not even know what Tor is.

I am with Optus too. Although I would of thought it couldn't be the ISP doing this. I am going to ring up anyway and see what they say. (waste of time as expected although the guy totally failed trying to explain it to me)

I think there is a special network team within optus that handle international routes that could help, but I wouldn't know how to contact them without going through the clueless initial helpdesk..

Ive never had an issue accessing the game or the website with Optus, unless the game servers were down.

Are you using the standard modem firmware, not using open DHCP or anything are you ?

Do a trace route when you cant access the website and see if anything stands out as a cause, then go from there.

I have been having this problem since 13 May 2016. Friday and Saturday nights are better for getting a connection. I have run hundreds of tracert's and put each ip into an ip tracker. The problem seems the be a breakdown (or other issue) of the signal actually getting into Canada, either from Europe or the US. Here is a copy of results from my June 4 contact with PGI's support.
All my problems happen after hop #10, which is the jump from Europe (10) to Canada (11).
(Same when I use 192.99.40.103)

Also noteworthy is Hops 13, 14, 15. Montreal to France to Montreal and all through OVH Hosting. (Canadian Telco)[/color]

The problem occurs between 0500-0800hrs Montreal time. Congestion there perhaps ?
However prior to 13 May there was no problem.

@Ace, no nbn, still on ADSL 2+ and less than 1k from the exchange, (Not that that make any difference, lol)

I tried Tunnel Bear VPN, still could not connect and TS wouldn't connect while TB was active.

Last night it was intermittent ability to connect and cleared up after 10.40 AEDT.

Oh and a big shout out and thankyou to Stella from support who have been trying for 5 months to help me with this issue.
