Yes, but that was the position of the voters at the time, and right around the time the primary clan omnis had increased laser duration and heat generation quirks applied, so there was added negative bias from the outrage. Plus, opinions can change as times and populations change, so no one poll taken in the past should be taken as absolute truth that spans all of time.

Just wanted to log in to point that out.

In other words, keep repeating the poll over and over again, until you get the result that you want?

No, thanks.

Plus, no amount of polls would change the simple fact that people paid $110 to get "NEVER again available Variants " with "unique and exclusive geometry" that would be AGAIN available now, contrary to the original contract between PGI and their customers .

Offering your customers something, getting money for it, and then doing something completely opposite could be called "customer fraud". I think that in many countries it is punishable by law.

What about selling the pack seasonally it stay being limited and exclusive to whoever want to buy from the package, and people have a choice of choosing to buy or not, for whatever the reason they have.

And this whole argument, right now reminds me of Rito's (Riot's) decision, to bring back Championship Riven after promising it's a Limited time exclusive for people in season 2, but when they re-release that skin the community was in a uproar for a good week or so but things died down after that.

Not saying the same will happen for PGI's case but it could happen since it's not a big deal.

again:

""Each package delivers both the Phoenix BattleMechs of each unique chassis type, plus two Standard Variants. See the package details here for the full readout on the package contents that accompany each tier. Project Phoenix will be available for a limited time only and once vaulted, these packages will never be made available again! A FAQ of the project can be found here. An official feedback thread can be found here.""

from the original sales announcement. "Never. Made. Available: Again".

IDK about you guys? But my dictionary says this:

"nev·er"
ˈnevər

adverb
1.
at no time in the past or future; on no occasion; not ever.

And from a simple consumer legality standpoint, that is all the need be said about it. No matter how much folks want to argue, postulate, etc, their sales announcement was very specific in terms, and they would open themselves up to lawsuits, etc. Forget about "principal, entitlement, special snowflakes" and all the other little derogatory remarks Alistair cares to toss out to obfuscate the facts: Legally speaking, even if 99% of the Community said yes on a poll? They would STILL BE COMMITTING CONSUMER FRAUD.

And that is all that matters in this regard.

nope.

At least not AS the Phoenix Bundle. Honestly could care less about the Bundle itself, or the mechs being offered. Do care about PGI breaking another promise.

Exactly. And like last time this request came up for vote - I voted nay. The Phoenix Package not be re-released.

And same goes for the Saber Pack. NAY for re-release.

I'd rather they put some different variants on those same mechs (if possible) and sell the same mechs in the pack, but without the (P) variants and instead do a "Reborn Phoenix" or something pack.

Packs should be up pretty much forever but the only thing exclusive should be the special geometry variants for buying it in the limited time.

I have no problem with them selling the stuff they have already made, the only special things were the geometry.

Make the pack again, then throw in all the royal variants or something and call it the "King Bird". So long as those original (P) variants aren't in they aren't breaking any promises.

Why not sell a bundle with the phoenix battlemechs without the special variants and just replace said variants with champion variants and with no titles / badges. You could even rename it as well... 'from the ashes' bundle sounds appropriate.

That way the original bundle will still be unique and people can buy the updated bundle if they so desire.

That's pretty much what all those who voted nay in the past said... Offer the Mechs without the "special" crap, and most of us would be fine with. After all, the Mechs themselves are already available for CBills, just not the Phoenix Colors, Geo, etc.

Could care less if the "S" are the same models, same cbill bonus, etc.

Well, I did suggest that if they were to do it, they'd have to actually offer something to original Phoenix Pack owners something unique (as a token of appreciation bribe).

I'm just here with this in mind:

I wonder why the Pheonix Pack keeps coming up like this. How come no one wants a gold Timberwolf?

Sold out. At least that's what the web page said before taken down.

Otherwise I would buy five. Posted Image

I simply just want the ability to buy the package. Heck, if they made an originals package consisting of the pre-release IS mechs prior to the Phoenix Package I'd jump on that too.

As for the Mastery Bundles, I don't like any of the Hero mechs except the Pirate's Bane, the rest of them are pretty meh for the most part from what I've looked at/seen.

I mean, Why aren't people demanding that PGI sell more of them. Clearly a digital asset isn't really out of stock. Its like everyone respects the "limited quantities" of one sale but not the other.

i think the old model megapacks need to be repackaged under the new model. this would also come with a viability rebalance pass. just bring them up to snuff, throw on a couple bonus varients, maybe an extra hero.

You want more Gold Mech Bittervets?

Funny thing is that there's a number of them...

You answered your own question: Nobody wants the Golden Madcat, so nobody bothers with discussion if "limited edition" and "exclusive" actually means "limited edition" and "exclusive". Posted Image

I might have bought a Gold Summoner if:
1) PGI didn't go out of their way to make sur eit was gimped crap
2) I would prefer Burning Chrome, for a Metallic
3) If I had more money than common sense.

since none of the 3 apply.... no Shiny Summoner for me!

(And this is coming from a former top 1% Whale)
