You know, usually I like the mechs PGI has put out. Maybe not for their versatility or performance on the battlefield, but they do tend to be aesthetically pleasing.

I detest the Linebacker.

It is too tall. It is not wide enough. The shoulders are anemic. The cockpit assembly looks like they ripped the front end off a MISC-designed starship from Star Citizen and stuck it on the front. The arms are... etc. ad nauseam.

That digital-spec camo for the special edition is pretty neat though.

If I can make a quirked 6 MPL drive by hitter. Then yeah, I'll be pretty happy.

I like the design quite a bit. Its not meant to be pretty, its menacing and utilitarian.

What the hell, I'll pimp one of my mech repaints from my next hero series.

Nothing on the current release schedule excites me. I am hoping that the Wave II heroes will be released soon so I can get a Hellbringer hero. The only thing that I bought recently was the Kit Fox and Stormcrow heroes. I went against my Hell's Horses role play with the Kodiak and I dislike the Mech so no more buying stuff that does not "fit".

The upside is that it looks like I will be saving lots of money for the foreseeable future.

so....that one has...2x LB-5X and 1.5 tons of ammo each? Or is that 6MG I spy, too?

Summoner Hero could have excited me...except PGI still hates the Summoner. (and was no way I was spending more money just to get those Loyalty pods)

I'm looking forward to it. I like buying mechs, mostly heavies and mediums. I'm only building up some clan mechs now, and this will be one of them.

Also, I paid off my mortgage so now I buy mechs and don't care. ;<)

because visually it always had short legs. It just moves them real fast like. I mean.... why do Annihilators have like 2/3 their size in legs when they move real slow and by spec only about 10 tons of their mass is below the waist?

LB-5X? hahaha. you overestimate the Linebacker. ...LB-2X

and 5 machine guns. And 2 med lasers, but I just realised I those have gone missing in the pic. doh.

I'm giving it some major LB-X cooldown quirks and MG range quirks locked to the 8-piece omni set to compensate. It would probably still suck hard. but personally I wish the heroes offered up a unique off the wall experience rather than drip feed us slightly alternative omni-pods.

I find it an abomination to not use those arms. I'd rather take a performance hit than leave them weapon and armor-less.

Yeah, the Summoner would have fit with me but I was "disappointed" that my Kodiak plus hero and reinforcements and my Viper plus hero and reinforcements did not qualify me for the Top Tier rewards so I cancelled my impulse buy pre-orders, passed on the Summoner and focused on the Stormcrow which is a CHH design anyway. The announcement of the Stormcrow hero was a nice, timely surprise so I am glad I went the direction that I did.
