Old Art Assets And Their Future

this game is several years old. And, at the beginning, as it seems had been heavily understaffed in the art department.
Some assets, like the lava lamp and several similarly old assets, are plain buttugly. It looks like someone drafted it at the end of the 90s whilst testing out his brandnew Corel Draw.
When you look at the new stuff they implement, it really becomes obvious. It stings in the eyes.
Not only is the graphical quality bad beyond words, the animation consists of fewer sprites than Super Mario on my NES.
Is there some hope that PGI might revamp some of these "legacy assets"?

I actually like the lumiglass, and wish it came in other colors. Oh man, I'd love it in blue. The low frame rate on it works, because the real thing can flicker as quickly as that. It pops from point to point as it discharges across the surface. That Lava Lamp, though? Damn.... Did they hire the hamster from the hamster wheel cockpit item to do the art for it?

I had this forlorn hope the Gatling warhorn would sound like ...a Gatling cannon followed by the 'Ching!' of a cash register

I honestly wish you could make the Warhorns invisible and just keep the sound effect.
I just find them... very obtrusive.
