250 Damage To Shadow Hawk Ct And Yellow Armor?

Any reason why mechs are running around invulnerable in matches? A Phoenix Hawk parked directly in front of me and basically said, "your not doing any damage".

So one alpha after another, 200ish damage he takes, and has yellow armor.

I am seeing many mechs running around not taking damage swinging matches in some situations, one match after another. I hope this doesn't continue as a standard match dynamic.

Previously this was common vrs some teams in faction play. Now it seems as common in quick play today.

What's the range and the weapons, also start recording your gameplay, videos would be interesting to see if you want stuff fixed.

Did like 4 or 5 alphastrikes (like 50+ dmg) directly to the ct to an Ebon Jaguar today that wasn't even twisting. He still had armor left lol.

Record it and post vids to support and see what they say. Russ has asked for vids of bad hit detection a coupe of times.

I know it was 200ish damage because it was the very start of the match and after seeing this I stopped playing and was shot down while afk. End of match said I did 256 damage which was even more surprising to me since I didn't think I did that much at the start of the match to a single mech parked in front of me basically.

Its been happening in quick play for years. I cant imagine what might be making it happen

Damage calculations are off most of the time I think.

I had a match yesterday where I found a kodiak in my splatcent, I throw an airstrike at him and splatted as long as I could directly in front of him (his ballistic was blocked by a wall but he didn't get it). However, I took the left torso and opened his right and CT, CT got red and he was maybe one alpha away from dying when I went down.

In the end I did something like 430 damage or so. Sure the lost arm counts toward it but these numbers still look strange. On the other hand SRMs spread damage and maybe it is reasonable or maybe I'm so used to bad hitreg with SRMs and that game it worked somehow that I am surprised but usually that damage kills a kodiak from the front. I mean it is not so that others didn't shoot him.

Reminds me of a recent match I had where I took on a fresh Atlas with my Mad Dog lore SRM build, and ripped off both his LT, RT, and stripped his entire CT, doing 630 damage but not being able to finish him because of his friends that did not appreciate my efforts brawling a 100 ton mech, and shot me to pieces.

Oh, not just at times


This was a missile bay door bug/typo
Instead of 10% damage reduction, it was set to 100% damage reduction

Missile bay doors being CT mounted...you could not get CT killed
(but Legging worked, as would face)

This stuff happens to me maybe 1 in 50 matches. Not enough for me to consider it a huge problem, and it's also not worth the hassle of trying to help PGI with it. Especially since the last time I tried to help them out by sending map coordinates of places where you could get stuck on maps, all I got back was "We will look into it".

I wasn't expecting a reward (I'm not that optimistic), but a thank you would have been nice.

I've had something similiar happen yesterday - but i was the Shadowhawk Posted Image
I recklessly dived to kill a Marauder and was then faced by an Archer and a Warhammer - killed em both and then met a rather fresh Hellbringer and brought him down as well. I even survived that round although i was using an XL. Sometimes RNGesus is with you Posted Image

Learn to Nvidia?

Shadowplay / Share (new name) has revolutionised video recording in games - it records to a temporary file 100% of the time and then there is a keyboard shortcut to save the last up to 20 mins (configurable) to a video file. No longer do you have to curse "damn i wish i had recorded that game"

One of the big problems right now with video proof is the number of mechs running ECM so you don't get the target paper doll to show damage not being done. Many are leveling their Loyalty ECM Stalkers and Hellbringers. This not only covers them, but other mechs in the vicinity.

I have some recent videos, but no definitive proof because paper doll does not show and I have to torso twist like mad and back off before getting it most of the time.
