All I want for Christmas is CW that doesn't suck, CW that doesn't suck, CW that doesn't suck.
All I want for Christmas is CW...

I'll settle for a reset back to Phase 2 though.

Alas, I fear what is going to be announced at Mechcon by Russ is some amazingly convoluted plan that comes down to IS Bucket + Clan Bucket + QP = CW and then argue with a straight face that this is what the community wanted...because this is what he wanted.

Do they have a road-map or something? I haven't seen the entirety of the forum though, but i think it's nice if they have some sort of yearly plan of what they aim to accomplish in the year, other than just release dates of mechs.

What if releasing mechs is what they plan to accomplish this year? ;)

Yeah....now show us the graph that has players that actually stay. Noone ever said the marketing department doesn't do their job. We get fresh potatoes daily.

I wonder how many people are going for HBS, and the hope of a chance at playing super-pre-alpha v0.2 Battletech.

I'm going to be honest... I was tempted to go for the HBS portions.

But I can wait for a Beta and watch the presentations on youtube. No need to blow a couple hundred bucks (Especially since I already dropped way too much money on that game) on such a narrow convention.

Yup. It would only cost me about $260 for the ticket and the ride there and back, but considering the only two reasons I have for going is to whisper "Do you want to buy a mechpack?" to evetyone in attendance, and play the HBS alpha, if its there, its just a waste of money.

This one shows an obvious decline.

Unless I can get out of there with a REAL Mech and go stomping around town, I think I'll skip the Mechcon. Now if they promise to give us each an Atlas or at least an Caldron Born for our time there so we can take a stroll down main street, I might reconsider.

This chart shows my interest over the last year. Replace 2012 with December 2015, and 2016 with October 2016. I like the mechlab, I like the arcade feel of the game once or twice a month, but there is nothing holding my interest longer than an hour at a time.

I don't think it's for nothing that there is the word Con in Mechcon.

PGI just DOESN'T care.

As a semi-fanboy of the game, even I am loosing faith.

Events are NOT content. Grab bags, MC, Zombie Cockpit items, warhorns...

Whatever.

Content Please.

I live just south of PGI (in Seattle). I went to the Steam Launch last year and while I don't regret it, I can't say it was totally worth the cost of the trip. Perhaps I'm an entitled douche, but I spent nearly $300 for train tickets + hotel to go there for the event and I was kind of hoping they would give all those who attended a redemption code for a free Atlas or something. It's a digital item and I doubt it'd hit their income much (if any) to have gifted one to each of those who attended the event. I really felt bad for some of those who came from Europe to attend the event. That had to cost a pretty penny.

Now then, I will say that the free sticker was cool, but the beanie was kind of lame since the only logo on the whole thing is on the tag and was the size of a penny. I realize that I didn't have to pay a single cent to get into the event itself, so I know I really have no right to b!tch, but I will anyways.

P.S. I suppose the free booze is worth more than free swag to most, so there is that.

Theory time: That could represent total registered users. This could make sense as that number will continue to grow and never decrease since even people who have quit the game are not likely to delete their accounts.
