Well, Clans might like if they did >.< might give them reason to open up certain things that are locked on them! But yea...those first few IS Omni's.....Oh boy, have fun there! IT would be odd though if they skipped all the first ones (since they are around this time) and jumped right to the decent ones....So I am not sure how they could do them honestly with out either A.them being horrid mechs or B. Redo the rules for Omni Mechs.

Well, it's not like PGI minds IS having terrible mechs, even new ones, like the Phoenix hawk.
So they'd probably just keep them horrible and not touch Omni rules (which in my opinion, even without IS omnis, should be changed to allow changing structure/armor and maybe even Jump Jets).

There are still so many mechs they could add, like the 40 tonners: Vulcan, Clint, Assassin, etc.

More on point to your statement, though, the Raptor, Sunder, Blackjack, and Blackhawk-KU would actually be serviceable without touching the Omni rules. Great? Probably not, but not even close to being the worst.

Also, there are no other 'Mechs that would add more interesting things to the game than IS Omnis outside of the aforementioned Quads, so...I have zero inclination to go out and support something like the Clint or the Wasp/Hornet, etc.

Clint, due to most variants being ballistic focused, wouldn't work too well.

The Assassin might be decent due to a mixture of energy/missile hardpoints, high engine cap and jump jets though.

Could they not roll with either the Thug or Hatamoto-Chi, if they wanted to keep doing assault mechs? Either one has enough 3050 and before variants for a three-pack, plus (S) model, plus hero.

Still love to see the Hollander II. They'd have to quirk the heck out of it, though.

Hatamochi-chi is what I'd like to see added to the Inner Sphere.

With or without the sword?

If without the sword, you want a weaboo samurai mech?

If with the sword, just decoration then?

Why a Hatamoto-Chi (Who's Asian aesthetic probably wont survive MWO's Unified Appearance transition) when a Star League Era Thug will do?

If it was implemented now, without the sword.
If physical combat is ever implemented, it should be added.

I like the Thug a lot (back from MW2 Mercs days), and it certainly fits in with the "average American attitude" these days. I just like the Hatamoto-Chi better.

Here's a question, if you had to pick an Inner Sphere mech to compete with the Kodiak, what would it be?

Honestly it'd be the Vanquisher.

Sure, you'd need to replace the Light gauss rifles and the ER medium lasers with regular ones for MWO, but it'd be able to compete with the Kodiak for top meta capability. Like a 100-ton Catapult K2.

Especially since it's 2nd variant, the VQR-2B, carries 4x Ultra Autocannon 5/s.
