It's a bit hard to understand whether you're being sarcastic or not.

The ellipses in the title seem to suggest sarcasm, but i'm not sure.

Looks like a reasonable build save for the incredible heat all those medium pulses are going to generate. Might be better if you used UAC/10s instead of LB-10-X but you know, it's your 'mech man.

that's the main issue. i'm open to try SPL or SL but the damage loss would be too great, let alone range loss and i believe that's the fun of this loadout

That's definately a build to keep you warm in the winter.

Personally, I think you're giving up too much for that high alpha strike number. Even ripple-firing all those weapons is going to overheat you, so--combined with the spread on the SRM6s and LBX10s--it's a deceptive performance metric. Also, those juicy, juicy legs.... I didn't know whale legs could be so appetizing.

In fiddling around with the build, what jumped out to me is that laser vomit range and UAC10 range are pretty similar and came up with two alternatives:

#1: Use the same omnipods & keep some (smaller) SRM racks.

#2: Drop the SRMs and move the UACs into the torsos.

The alpha strike isn't as big, but you're more effective at a typical pug-match standoff range, and you'll be capable of better continuous fire.

Currently doing the whole DWF terribad experiments thing myself. Some stuff I've run the last few days:

x6 LPL, on one side. chainfired in groups of two. great if the enemy is fully exposed at range.
x6 meds x2 LPL. hot meh
x8+ med x4 LPL. surprisingly had some fun matches, but you have to shoot left/right then retreat forever. Don't miss.
x2 UAC-10, x1 UAC20, x1 LB-20X. Brutal, splatted a wubmaster and went on to do 600 dmg before running out of ammo.
x14 SPLs + x2 guass,UAC or LBX. you read that right.

Overall all DWF builds are garbage thanks to map design, nascar and the poptart meta.

That's an awful build, and that's before you are attempting Ghost Heat.

I get the burst damage idea, but the distance you have to close before this is even remotely effective (LBX10s @ range are awful, so you need to get into 270m to even stand a chance) and the MPL burst won't be enough to compensate for the damage you take while hiding/closing as much as possible.

16% cooling ratio is generally untenable. Hope you don't get caught by a fast decent Light pilot in that thing. Ouch...

Brawling DWF - bad. When any other mech in the game can casually saunter away from you, brawling is not your thing.

I've actually settled down with the following build:

DWF-S

Of course i'd lose that 128 max damage, but i can strike in three turns, with SRM one at a time.

This way, by the time the last SRM lands i'll be ready to full attack again, besides it got this neat 1,36 heat rate. And as a bonus i've got a tgt pc mkI.

Looking foward to field testing. very manageable really.
