Pheh, I guess I won't be getting it. The CT is worthless. That's the one thing you can't switch off of an omnimech.

I was considering it for the Cbill bonus, but it doesn't seem worth it now.

Or you can go use the TBR A or D variants that have the CT E point even if it doesn't have C-dollah bonus.

Consider yourself lucky that you have noticed that before you purchased it.

Precisely. As a TBR pilot, my quality of life has not been improved by this release! I was hoping for a cool cbill variant. :l

Warrant has ballistic LA, something no other Timbies have. Pack 3xCUAC5s, and will be cool C-Bill variant because of it. Cool running, I mean. :P

Nah, I've see triple CUAC5. Not interested.

Also, you can do that with a regular TBR. The LA B just omits a couple of jumpjet, allowing more ammo.

It does not have a center torso energy hardpoint, true, but you can still build it moderately well.

Switch out the ballistic arm for a 2x energy one and apply 2x c-LPL, 4x ERML with a targeting computer and the rest in heatsinks for a highly heat efficient laser vomiter. Or add in a pair of SRM4's with 1,5 -2 tons of ammunition by taking away a few heatsinks.

You can also do either 3x UAC5, as mentioned, or 2x UAC5 and 4x ERML. You will need to use the TBR-A left side torso for that, which for whatever reason still has those absurd negative quirks. But it's there as an option.

The Warrants particular advantages come in the form of side torsos with missile + energy hardpoints without jump jets, and a left arm ballistic.

If you want a c-bill boosted timber wolf with an energy center torso hardpoint, the TBR-C(S) from the steam heavy package might be more your taste. Combine that with the Warrants left arm and right side torso, and you can build an evenly spaced 2x UAC10 3xERML timber without negative quirks and still enough space for 5 tons of ammunition.

Should PGI ever wise up and remove the outdated negative quirks from the timber wolf, you could even build the Warrant as the ebon jaguar with 2x LPL 6x ERML.

This already fits on the TBR. Remember, even though the agility is slightly nerfed, it's still higher than most heavies (thanks to the outsized engine fraction), and the TBR has more heatsinks than the EBJ.

And about PGI wising up, incentivizing this purchase will include never unlocking jumpjets. SMH. :l

That is a rather rude and useless tweet. Is that considered normal discourse? I wouldn't know as I don't use Twitter.

A c-bill boosted Timberwolf for only $20 seems a good value to me. Heroes have always made some concessions to avoid pay to win accusations. I don't see the problem here, the Timberwolf is an amazingly versatile machine. Its certainly not going to be doomed by lack of a single CT hardpoint.

And that two tons of ammo makes all the difference, due to Timbie's limited pod space.

It's twitter. I only use it facetiously. I don't even suspect Russ will read it anyway.

Cbill variants should be the most versatile ones for omnis. Otherwise you just miss out on Cbills when you want to run another build. It's really quite that simple.

Unless you're partial to running 2 UAC10.

WTF is a 'Warrent'?

Edit: oh I see, you're referring to the TBR hero. Yeah it has **** all going for it. Even the paint job is balls.

To be fair, and to the OP, if there are no CT E, why did it feature a CT E on the F-ing artwork???
PGI shot themselves on the foot for this one. Either correct the mistake, like, right now... cause it's flat out misleading at this point.

They put a disclaimer saying artwork does not reflect final loadouts, they just using existing variants to show off the paint scheme, so just calm down a bit mate.

It's actually apparently possible to get duplicates of the Steam Performance packs. Use two different steam accounts (as the DLC is one-time purchase per account it seems) to buy the heavy pack and then log in with the same MWO user to redeem it. Do this with both purchases and they should appear in-game with the whole "redeem" prompt when you finish loading.

If you were going to get the timber wolf a la carte pack, for the price at the current 40% discount you can get 2x TBR-C's, plus the two TDR-9SE's and a bunch of other goodies. Dunno if it's meant to be this way, but I don't see how it'd be wrong.

They put up a disclaimer for that after the fact.

It's still inexcusable laziness for using existing variants (and not even some similar ones). There's a hundred dollars worth of virtual stuff they are licensing to us there. And my god does it reek of minimal effort at that price point.
