I meant right before the KDK-3. The Dire Wolf was hit with the skill tree nerf and the Clan DHS capacity nerf far before that.

Outside of occasionally throwing out a SuperMegaUltraQuirk or two, they are NEVER willing to spend time actually working on underperforming 'Mechs, however they got to be so, for much the same reason you mentioned - it's not as time-efficient as simply knocking the leaders on the head and letting whatever's next poke its noodle.

Which means if your 'Mech becomes Bad, at any time, for any reason, You Are Stuck There Forever.

Pardon me for trying to avoid this 'Garbage Forever' fate for as many machines as I can. We already have too many trash heaps in MWO as it is, we do not need more.

FutureTech is more than just new guns. It's new systems and equipment, as well. It's an IS LFE that can help offset the whole CXL imbalance issue. It's potential new armor types that can shake up the "ES/STD 4 LYFE" construction rule we've all been dealing with for years. It's new electronics and EW systems that might actually usher in something faintly resembling the pale shadow of Information Warfare.

It's a bunch of absolutely awesome stuff we're never going to get because Russ is skeered of heavy lasers and doesn't want to spend development time prototyping new gear that he could spend on Commodity Warfare Phase 4.5 instead, God damn the entire world.

New game modes are a laudable goal indeed, but we've seen where that goes ('Domination', anyone?) There are so many problems FutureTech could solve that will never be solved because RUSS IS SKEERED OF HEAVY F***ING LASERS!!

Well, I hope he's equally skeered of earning less money. Because I'm pretty much back to where I was in 2013 when I passed on the Saber pack and took a long break from MWO. Little faith, no reason to be here outside of passing time at work. And I was one of a rapidly dwindling breed of folks who still gave half a damn.

MechCon had better blow our f***ing minds if they want to pull out of the nose dive this time. And not nerfhammering a dozen different assault 'Mechs to get at the KDK-3 would be a good way to start.

135ish Assault matches since the beginning of leaderboards

His Assault K/d ratio maxes at 2.5...in the last season where he had 3 Assault Matches


Mine (predominantly in Kodiaks, primarily PokeBears but some DakkaBears too) did not fall below 5 K/d, with a min of 32 matches, and a max of 94 matches (w/8.48 K/d and 3.09 W/L)

Kid I haven't played CW in a long *** time, months maybe. Also, KDR in CW is reflective of your overall team (I was in CGBI, so take that however you want to) - CW isn't deathmatch moron, but since you're such 1337 CW pilot, I guess i shouldnt have to tell you that CW calls for self-less play at times for the betterment of your unit. None of anything you said has anything to do with analyzing the KDK-3, and your cry baby calls to nerf it. Nice try though.

They are not tracked the same way, unfortunately.

All personal stat tracking is strictly QP.

The FP leaderboards are only ingame AFAIK.

Kodiaks at ten paces doesn't solve much of anything, Aphex.

The KDK-3 is a balance outlier. The issue isn't whether or not it needs help (it does, unfortunately), it's whether or not:

A.) Piranha is actually physically capable of adjusting the KDK-3 AND JUST THE KDK-GODDAMN-3, which evidence suggests is not the case. Given such, anything one tries to kick out to fix the Bad Touch Bear is going to apply to, at the very least, all other Kodiaks, and also possibly a number of other Clan assaults, Clan autocannons in general, and the Wolverine. Just because. Nobody else seems to care, or they say stuff like "It doesn't matter of the entire Kodiak chassis is unplayable, just so long as the Mauler becomes the undisputed champion of all things assault 'Mech again and I never have to see another Kodiak as long as I live."

B.) the KDK-3 needs to be utterly destroyed for all time, the way many posters have asserted. 'Balance' would dictate a series of small, sequential adjustments until the KDK-3 is still a vicious threat but not the only assault 'Mech ever seen anymore. This thread and most like it posit that if anyone in a KDK-3 ever scores another kill again for the remainder of the game's duration, the 'Mech has not been nerfed hard enough and they need to slice off another twenty degrees of twist arc and another twenty points of torso structure. I challenge this assertion. Frequently. Unfortunately, to very little avail.

All real modes in mwo currently revolve in team matches... (The discussion to adjust the KDK-3 all stems from that reasoning.)

1v1 is not a real game mode, and is dynamically different then team oriented game play

On my free time I am going to run the KDK-3 in the solo queue as my only mech. I may not be the best pilot but I can make it hum well enough to frequently remind people its OP as ****. Maybe people will NaCl in the forums because of our combined efforts.
