1. PVE Offline content. Not online missions that will disappear whenever PGI unplugs the servers to sell us MWO2 mech packs

2. New skill trees and they're bringing back infotech. Then maybe some pie-in-the-sky promises about Solaris and PVE in 2018.

> Minor skill tree changes
> New game mode/Assault mode rework

1) A CW phase 4. Wherein the new mode has all of the features and immersions that they originally advertised in the original CW teasers and announcements. (OP, you said "hope". You did not say "realistic hope".).

2) A tie-in event/offer/product with the HBS Battletech game. Likely a very short PVE mission or missions (available for a fee) which corresponds to a mission(s) in the HBS game. I assume those level programmers and artists that PGI hired this year have been doing something, and that is what I think they have been doing.

1. PvE, especially a coop mode.

2. Solaris, a new quick play game mode, and the new pilot tree.

I'm going for;

-Skill tree revamp WITH powerpoint presentation. Not that it will be done, or done correctly, but they will be able to say , "See? We are working on this!".

- Timeline jump forward to be able to introduce a bunch of new mechs and possibly new weapons.

Not much more though. Some minor corrections that are long overdue, but I'm more interested is seeing what HBS brings to the table.

1. New skill tree, still being worked on but ready "soon".
2. Focus on making new maps, maybe showcase one, the others coming sometime during the next year.
3. Outline of planned Solaris mode, not started yet. All features likely to change before implementation.
4. Imperious gets free Mad Cat II package, which causes forum outrage.
5. Previously discussed FW changes coming "soon".
6. MWOWC tournament, will not run smooth. Hardware problems like every other time PGI has done a public demonstration.
7. PVE coming "soon".
8. "The Big Announcement" will not be related to gameplay.
*Edit: for fun I will predict Catalyst will make minis based off MWO designs.

They should just give Imperius a unique, stealth client update that gives him a Mad Cat Mk II, only when he's in a match with other people its actually a Highlander IIC (But he stills sees a Mk II). That way everyone wins!

1.
-New engine.
-New weapons and equipment, time jump preferred but not required.
-Lots of new mechs to go with new equipment.
-At least one new LIGHT mech.
-Skill tree update that combines skills, modules, and quirks into one system that lets you customize the effects in a balanced positive and negative kind of way. Also once top level is reached you can freely change the customization around again to fit different builds.
-Multiple new new maps.
-New game mode that is really awesome.
-Bunch of balance changes, like light mech buffs.
-FW changes. Mode changes, faction changes, letting us select a checkbox for regular drops/FW drops for quick play.
-And maybe most importantly (especially for the new engine) not just a hey guess whats coming in a year. I would really like for them to say something along the lines of hey guess what we've secretly been working on for the last half a year? And its coming out really soon, like January or February! No really, look heres a 95% done playable demo.

2.
-Probably a couple of new mechs, a heavy and assault
-Skill tree customization that requires you to keep spending MC/cbills/xp to change stuff and doesn't have much if any effect on modules, quirks.
-New map.
-New game mode.
-FW changes.

So basically I do expect some good things but not the real big things I would like. The big things being a new engine and weapons. I would also really like balance changes but for a big announcement new engine and equipment makes more sense.
I keep seeing people say stuff about the Mad Cat MKII so you're getting my hopes up for the weapons and equipment. New engine, I don't know, they talked about it a bunch and then nothing so I guess I'll have to wait and see. But really weapons and/or engine are the only things that would really get my attention. Plus I think those could actually bring back some former players. A new map and mech isn't going to do that.

Ideally at some point during Mechcon Russ will come out and start yelling
"So you want a new engine?"
"So you want new weapons?"
"So you want new everything!?!"
"Good!"
Then he reaches behind a podium and pulls out one of those comically large hammers you see at carnivals, you know those big hammers where you have to try to smack a weight into a bell to win a giant teddy bear that falls apart by the time you leave the carnival... Yeah one of those, but this one would say something Mechwarrior related on it (like Big Al, or potato smasher), and as he grabs said hammer a curtain opens up and theres this giant red button, like 2 meters across, and it says "Awesome new MWO patch" on it and Russ doesn't just hit this button....No, no he obliterates this button in one swing. I'm talking the whole button just explodes as fireworks fire off and the game goes down for a bit and then comes up with a new giant patch. And Russ says
"You get a new engine! and you get a new engine! EVERYBODY GETS A NEW ENGINNEEEEE AHHHHH!"
"And you get new weapons! and you get new weapons!"
"And heres a bunch of new mechs!"
"And the new assault mode!"
Then he calms down, looks at the crowd...
"You happy now... Mechwarriors?"
Then he spikes the mic into the ground as he walks off stage to hop on a previously unseen Chopper like hes some kind of Canadian version of the early 2000s Undertaker.
But before he leaves Tina comes out on stage to say
"Mechcon out! Bonsoir *****es"
Then she hops on the back of the bike with Russ and as Russ fires up the bike to leave the arena (did I mention Mechcon got moved to a arena?) Kid Rock shows up to play American Bad*** but its changed to Canadian Bad*** (since you know, Canadian). And when they get to the exit, they stop and throw up the peace sign and the MWO credits start to roll as they leave. But before anybody can figure out what just happened, Paul comes out of no where. And as he works his way through the crowd he lays down the Sickist Mechwarrior freestyle anybody has ever heard, right over the Canadian Bad*** cover.

Hey, it could happen.

I have been trying to keep my ear to the ground, listen for hints (twitter, Town Halls, FP Round Table, NGNG comments, etc.), read between the lines, evaluate data and formulate a theory of what may be coming in December.

1. Major re-quirking. Hopefully, it will tie into the new Mech Skill Tree. This has already begun with October and November quirk changes.
2. Agility and torso twisting divorced from engine size but instead based on tonnage. For example, all 100 tons Mechs would have the same torso twist speed and agility.
3. Introduction of new Assault mode but may not be ready for December patch.
4. Announcement of time line jump. (3060 or 3067).
5. Progress report on FP but not ready for prime time yet. Reduced buckets and integrating OP maps/modes into FP to broaden the FP experience and appeal.
6. Clan Decals introduced for all Clans
7. Major weapon re-balance effort. Gauss and ERPPC get longer cooldown. c-LPL range shortened to 840m. Jam length increased to 8 seconds on UAC. Spread on SRM tightened. Spread on LRM20 tightened. Damage reduced on c-ERML, duration shortened slightly. These and a few other changes resulting from data gathered while testing ED on PTS.
8. New QP map.
9. New Wave II Clan Heroes.
10. New Mech - Mad Cat MKII if the time jump prediction is correct or possibly a Light pack with multiple Lights if there is no time jump.
11. No engine upgrade.
12. Kodiak nerfs if it does not happen in November with the 12 Clan Mechs being re-quirked.
13. A lot of talk about the bright future of MWO.
14. Solaris announcement, not ready in December.

If I think of more stuff later then I will edit this post.

LOL, MWO better get PVE sooner then 2018, or we will all just be playing HBS Battletech.

I will play HBS BattleTech. However, it will not replace the Mech Sim elements of MWO for me. The games are two totally different genre. The only thing they have in common is the BattleTech IP. BattleTech will not replace MWO for me. It will just supplement it.
