So, i'm currently trying out Kit-Fox Dakka for the lulz -- as apparently i can fit a UAC10 on the RT, which is a high-mount.

I found this video though:

And strangely, despite having that RT UAC10, it doesn't have JJ. So my question is that, was this old video, at some point was there an RT without a JJ but 1B? or the JJ's can be removed?

The original Omnimech rules allowed mechs with pod-based JJs to remove them like any other equipment items. Only mechs like the Thor and Nova had hardwired jets.

The TBR-S Timbertart ruined that, though, and caused PGI to lock pod jets.

Which makes me annoyed even to this day. What I would give for a high mount LBX10 on my kitfox...

But if you are going to fool around with a big ballistics kitfox, why settle for UAC10 on the RT mount? Think big and go UAC20 on the RA mount! Strip half the armour from your left side, and roll around with 4.5 tons of UAC20 ammo for the greatest lulz you'll ever have.

It's about as expected from a light as the Spanish inquisition!

been running one of these myself. running it with ecm and a flamer in an asymetric loadout. its actually a mean little light. if you find a lone mech you can cook it until it shuts down and double tap into their back or face.

the kitfox has a few varients that do not have jumpjets in some omnipods. mine has them because i didnt have a spare set of legs. 3.5 tons of ammo is enough because 10 class has 200 damage/ton. 700 damage ceiling is plenty for a light.

Yeah well, the UAC20 has low damage/ammo-ton, and further aggravated with heavy weapon resulting in even lower ammo. With 16.5 tons alloted, i can have 6.5 tons of ammo for the UAC10, and have total of 1300 damage, or have only 13 tons allotted for the dakka setup and still have 600 damage. I also have backup weapons, simply put i am thinking of sustainability.

I use the Prime-RA, and i try to deadside it for more ammo -- after all with +20 armor quirk, it will still be armored with 0 alloted points.

im running this.

KFX-C

if i wanted to give up ecm i could stick a kfx-prime right arm for the ballistics quirks. the extra ton and a half from the ecm and flamer could very well go into a small and medium er laser on your right arm (or two smalls and an extra half ton ammo). you also get a free 20 points of armor, so you could strip the arm completely and just use the free armor. i do that on my left arm to give me some blast shield.

And it shall be called the unicorn.
Seriously though, you should be able to switch leg omnipods to give it jump jets from memory. Uac 10 and ecm and JJ makes for awesome fun on canyon and mining :). Or bring 3 friends and make an ECM Kodiak out of your lance!
