Actually, let me rephrase that. When you use LRMs, MWO really becomes a thinking man's shooter. Because it means you only need about 5% of your brain power to play the game, so your mind starts to wander and you're actually free to think about anything you want. I'm fairly certain I could learn how to speak japanese or do differential equations while playing LRM boats in MWO. It's like when you see women who are knitting while going to lectures.

So not daily; only play when there are events?

I manage to get an hour in 4 days a week or so. Longer on weekends. That's the only time I have for gaming.

Plus, team DM gets a little old after an hour, unless there's an event going on like the Haunted and Hunted one that gives incentives.

Well, you can actually see my leaderboard stats if you had to actually ask.

I didn't give a damn about Season 3 (Sept 2017) because I was very angry at PGI (and there were other games to play instead of MWO during that period).

Actually the whole leaderboard thing is a bit new to me--only been back a bit over a month after a two year break. Looking through it I see the seasons but have no idea how long one lasts or when-to-when they are. For myself I only see data for season's 4 and 5.

They are monthly, starting with the Month it debuted in (which is July I believe).

That aside, I want to note that based on average score, there's definitely evidence for lights being underpowered.

Though this is more of a general trend, more weapons = more match score. Thus, confirming a general trend that in MM, assuming +-2 PSR, weight definitely factors a great deal into winning.

This also tells me that the game centers too much around general attrition and does not reward diverse plays from diverse mech functionality.

(basically, the game simply reward more guns and higher caliber guns as opposed to scouting, harass, or objective play)

And if PGI doesn't use this to enhance the game experience by re-balancing the scoring system and more diverse game mode... then... ok, let's just say, I wish they will use these data wisely to develop new contents.

(No more f-ing mech that all play the same with different skins)

"Dev" would be a bit of a stretch. Those guys are more or less paid streamers that do some interviews and stuff.

Yes but I waste that spare time playing mwo >.< Excel gets that **** done in like 5 minutes.

I'm trying to stay focused to my goal...this is only the second day of this season that I've played. The goal is only quick play games in LRM boats. So far, my W/L is worse than normal at .88 but the KDR is higher at 1.44.

It's a grind, that's for sure...I'll be lucky to clock 100 games this month. I'd like to be able to hit 1.25 W/L and 1.50 KDR in nothing but QP LRM boats but we'll see how that goes.
