It looks like a Timber Wolf had an illegitimate child with a Stormcrow.

That's funny considering the Huntsman is like a cross between the Crow and a Hunchback and now we have the Linebacker.

Hmm...

The Stormcrow sure does get around... >_>

I like that.

I like that the Clan mechs look like the same designs have been recycled. It works with lore.
I like that Alex stays true to the unique visual aesthetic he created for MWO. A problem with other games is that they eventually start designing new units that look completely out of place, relative to older units. That's not the case with MWO.

Fair enough if that's your thing. Personally, the unique, individual mech designs are what always made Mechwarrior/Battletech stand out from other offerings, like Armored Core and Front Mission (Though I do really like Front Mission, it's Wanzer designs are one of it's weaker elements).

I was expecting it to be a lot leaner, but I think it looks ok. Not one I'm getting anyways, so I can't really say much.

Kind of cool that they made the nose grill bigger though. Like a linebacker's football helmet.

Again I will point out that it only has 17 tons of space for weapons and equipment. Sure, go ahead and mount those ER PPCs and LPLs, that is 12 tons gone. That leaves almost nothing left over for any sort of supporting weapons because your going to need that 5 tons for DHS to keep ER PPCs and maybe even LPLs cool. LPLs might allow you to get away with 16 DHS giving you maybe 3 tons for supporting weapons but that still isn't much to work with. Also no JJs so no poptarting.

I also guess you could remove armor from the arms to save a bit of weight but your still going to have trouble keeping more than those ER PPCs and maybe a few ER MLs cool and any of the larger AC's are going to be right out the door because by the time you add ammo, again you have nothing left tonnage-wise.

And why should I bother with small details over free tonnage for 2 erppc if everything is min/maxing I wouldn't even have all the mechs I have, right now

A hoodless Adder? So it's been circumcised?

Are there NFL theme mechs other than the grid iron and line backer?

Is it something like a running gag that all americans (house cameron) are extinct in the battletech future.

And the only surviving remnants of american culture are two mechs named after NFL references?

Clan Ghost Bears favorite sport is American Football.

If the Imp is the big brother of the Urbi, does that mean the Linbacker is the big brother of the Jenner?

If the whole "center" part is actually CT, this thing will be even worse than i actually thought.

Overengined, undergunned omnimechs have a history of turning out as excellent mechs in MWO (not). Add a unmissable CT hitbox on top of that to make it even better.

Very much worried. Either this thing will have a massive center torso wherein it'll be impossible to spread damage, or it's going to have side torsos like a timber and those get blown off really fast. "Lead the charge" ...and then get blown to smithereens in half a second by actually viable mechs.

What I'm saying is, it's frontal profile is too damned wide for how ridiculously poorly it is armed. This thing makes the Ebon Jaguar and Hellbringer seem all the more efficient in comparison.
