The more I look at it I get the feeling it will be like the Catapult.

...How?
How? OK every time I look at it I see that fat upper body on the Linebacker. The Catapult has the big ears and so when they did the re-scale that made the thing look like a butterball (low to the ground blob on top of two short legs). So I look back at the Linebacker, and damned if I didn't see it look like a butterball as well. So I have a feeling it will be short like the Catapult because of how big they made the upper body.
But we will not know if I am correct in that until we have something better to visually compare it too.

I guess they're both kind of tubby...

Yeah I see it too though it is is kind of fatter and squatter looking due to actually having arms. However you have the same general frontal shape. Egg shaped cockpit with two boxes on its shoulders. Remove the arms and it would look very much like a Catapult.
Also you can see the Timber Wolf influences heavily in this mech.

To you guys discussing weapons.. the hero can take 2 cLPL and 3 cERMLs all in the torsos, stripping arms gets you 18 DHS or 17 DHS and a TC1, yeah, it will be hotter than a Hellbringer with the same loadout but you will be able to re-position better, and those cLPLs will be super high for hill humping.
All that, and the hero can do that without swapping omni-pods, so it gets to keep its set of 8 quirks! Hurray!

Anyone willing to gift me just the Hero so i can do that

Ugh. The picture looks better than the model. Its like the old Transformers. The box art looked better and more dynamic than the actual inarticulate toy.
The original Linebacker looked vastly different than the Timberwolf it was meant to replace. Here this looks like they took shortcuts and just made modifications to the model of the TBR.

I was so pumped after the Viper release cause I had (and still have) a frigging blast in that mech that I preordered the Linebackers the moment they were announced so I will pilot them and I will enjoy them. Dont you naysaysers try to ruin that for me

The Linebacker is the 65 ton mech we didn't need.
Looks really dense and compact. i'll be surprised if it is much larger than the Catapult.
