Yeah, good luck finding a mech that can run that loadout. Thanks to Artemis plus LBX ammo needs plus enormous space requirements........

Scorch can probably run it.

It can, McGral already did the math.

You remember what engine? I'm lazy.

Suffice it to say, that's going to be fun in a brawl. Much more fun than silly GMan's cLPL-Gauss builds that he had theorycrafted.

I think it was the stock engine, not sure though.

Hmm I'm having trouble fitting it in SSW, unless he just has 10 heatsinks... I have 4 tons of SRM ammo. 6 tons of LB20 ammo, and 13 DHS, but I don't have enough crits, so I would have to drop Ferro which means losing some DHS..

Did you have single heat sinks and not DHS because that is the only reason I can think of as to why that would occur?

like considering no clan mechs come with SHS and there are no IS LBX20s yet.. that would be odd

Clan battlemechs can change over to SHS, given his Whale build, it is possible he tried to build a HBK-IIC over to a SHS build for some reason.

With stock engine, you'd be without Ferro, 6 ton of LB20x, 4 tons of SRM ammo and 64 leg armour.

Eh, a 325 gives you a heatsink...this is more of a fun build than effective.
You'll be able to get a solid amount of damage out, and continue to use the LBx, but not much sustainability.

Hunch 2C could theoretically do it (for the glory of Stan)

Could also drop the 6s to 4s and use the weight to upgrade the engine since speed is always an issue for assault brawlers. Or you could just drop the extra LBX and just go all out on the engine running a larger Onion IIC.

The Origins pack hadn't been released at the time I was running my 2 LBX20 DWF. The only reason I'd run SHS would be on a IS mech centered around a dual Gauss build that was low on critspace and wouldn't need the extra heat dissipation.

Or drop the 20s to 10s for a little extra range.. depends one whether you want to focus more on SRMs or LBs I guess. I'm definitely going to try the LB40 SRM24 build though, because wow, that mega splat.

Due to the 9 crit space issue, very few clan mechs exist that can actually run more than 2 of the things. Not to mention they're six heat each shot, and the optimal is only 360 meters, and only 140 damage per ton of ammo. Quad LB10s on the other hand... fun on a kodiak or mauler. Only 2 heat each one per shot, 540 meter optimal, 200 damage per ton of ammo.
