I got you on the first sentence, right-o, but the other sentence, you got me there.
its probably just entitlement on my part but id like to know what they do with the mechpack money.
A few map fixes with a few new maps? A few UI Fixes? A few CW fixes? one game mode nobody likes and everybody want to fix? The leaderboard is a new thing, its not working right but hey you take what you get amirite? Do they only have one computer at the office? Is there just one guy working at any time?
I got the Cyclops collector edition five days ago knowing full well i was just buying a mech pack and should expect nothing out of it but 4 mech. But this podcast has renewed my interest into what they are doing with all the cash, especially when they claim content is being created with it.

IS Omni should be stupidly simple to implement, all the coding already exists and just has to be copy-pasta'd.
However, Melee would be the truly big announcement, and would fit nicely with a revamp of the Skill Tree.

Ya really, that would be awesome. I never really thought that would be done maybe until now. Quads would be interesting to and Aerospace fighters would be even better.

Also, to the rest of you, it's been a lot of fun reading your speculation on this topic.
As long as the stuff at Mechcon includes at least one of the following, I would be happy:
1. a sorely need buff to JJs to allow mechs like the Victor and Highlander to be relevant again.
2. a slew of compensation quirks for the Light mechs that got screwed over during the Rescale(Firestarter, Wolfhound, ect).
3. Total reversal of the Rescale in it's entirety. Seriously, how is it right or natural that a 35 ton Light mech is as tall as a 65 ton Heavy, or that a 75 ton Heavy is taller than a 100 ton Assault.

That said, LAMs would be the death-knell for my enjoyment of this game.

That's odd. Because for quite a while now, all we get from buying mechspacks is...more mechpacks. It'd be nice to know what the magic number of mechpacks we have to buy is, in order to get something other than more mechpacks. 10? 100? 1000? 10000? Even just the order of magnitude would be nice to know.

It's probably going to be something painfully disappointing... Like IS omnis (most of which were absolute garbage and seeing how Clan Battlemechs are usually better than Clan Omnimechs in MWO, i don't see why IS omnis are going to be any different.)
I'm off to eat frozen yogurt and sulk.

I will also accept the Owens, or a Strider. I'll still riot, but I'll keep it a low key affair.

I've long wanted Pgi to add new weapons & defensive tech and melee would definitely spice things up.
