I disagree. A lot of folks were really jacked about different detection and sensor capabilities that were being proposed. That alone would have given us at least a pretense of "role warfare". But nope, no ghost damage, no roles for you.

Paul even suggested that those roles were the overarching goal of that PTS...that was the first time (I can find) where the stated goal of the changes was to provide balance in the sense that all mechs down to the variant level were to have equivalent value regardless of their roles. I can's fathom how/why including or not including ghost damage should impact that goal. But whatever, my point was just to give some context (and to an extent, refute) to the assertion that players killed infotech.

If increased paper doll/lock on times was the grand extent of role warfare and "making all mechs equivalent" then it's a good thing they dropped it.

Be that as it may, the point is that PGI did that. Not the players.

Does anything I've done count, since I was a player long before becoming a dev?
Or only the things that I've influenced specifically because of my play experience?

Hell ya. So, if you can, I think it would be really interesting to hear what changes you and and/or PGI consider to have been "player or community driven".

Ah yes another

Once apone a time we had ELO and it was based around weight classes, so if you were an Ace heavy pilot but a really bad light pilot, it didn't matter because it would put you in the skill bracket of that weight.

Then the community screamed about wanting to see how good people were and demanded a leader board.

This resulted in P.S.R and it's up ward trend.

Once again community

Well done

Nothing major! Posted Image
In random order, things i remember now:

Every Mechs (almost every Mech - best case being the Urbi)
City Maps

JJ giga nerf
Gauss Nerf (charge)
3rd person view (yup, ppl were advocating for it - for new players, mostly)
ECM radius reduction

Queues spliting (solo vs group)
Tutorial
Mech rescale
Command Wheel
VOIP
Looking for Group
E D public test
Decals
Etc.

Now, wondering if those things are requirements and not features is another thing. But we must admit that PGI is listening and answering (not always as fast as we want them to, though).
