Not only is Battletech born from anime, but seriously guys- have you seen some of the godawful shitposts on these forums without anime gifs in them? When you average it out, the quality of the anime posts is actually far higher.

Chances of this seem to raise exponentially if they have a profile pic featuring an anime girl in a German military uniform. I have absolutely no idea why there seems to be a connection there as it makes no sense, but it's what I've noticed.

As much as I hate politics showing up on the forums, it's mostly because of all the anime "Make America Great Again!" edits that are floating around on the web causing you to associate them with each other. It really messes with me personally, since it absolutely ruins so many smug images.

Seriously, i don't get the appeal of it. I mean, sure, there are people that annoy me, there are people that i disagree with, but i just don't see a point in jamming my fingers into my ears and pretending not to hear what they're saying.

SDF Macross (doubly so for the Do you remember love movie version), that's about the only one you need to watch... In there you will find the Stinger, Wasp, Valkyrie, Phoenix Hawk, Crusader, Riflemen, Archer, Marauder, Warhammer and Longbow.
