I don't ignore anyone.
Not even Gyrok!
Seriously, i don't get the appeal of it. I mean, sure, there are people that annoy me, there are people that i disagree with, but i just don't see a point in jamming my fingers into my ears and pretending not to hear what they're saying.
It just seems so... Childish to me.
Same here. I've never blocked/ignored anyone that I simply found annoying or that I didn't agree with. My brain is perfectly okay ignoring things on its own if I decide I don't want to read or interact with them without a digital aid. Only times I have utilized a block/ignore function is when someone was making an active and intentional attempt at harassing me.

Only reason I use the ignore feature is because I only have so much self control, and I would get banned incredibly quickly if I saw all the posts made by a single, specific user, since I would feel obligated to try and counter his arguments. And that never goes well with his form of arguing. That's the only case I know of ignoring people, to save yourself from oblivion.

But said person is a master of logic! A seer of reason! The only one on this earth that knows how to construct a valid argument! He is the destroyer of untruths! He didn't say "Let there be light!", he debated God into becoming convinced that saying it was the right thing to do!

Because it got to the point where I viewed their posts as spam and garbage that was almost universally irrelevant to whatever thread they were posting in. I haven't and don't plan to ignored Bloodwolf, and I find him to be a very grating poster, so it's not like I ignore people I don't like willy nilly but I have just had enough of big eyed anime girls reacting to every thread.
Why do people have to tell other people that they don't enjoy what other people do and that they should stop? The world would be a much better place if people could accept people without judging them based on things that cause no harm to the person other than not liking it.
Well, obviously, spamming the same stuff over and over is annoying. Which is one of the reasons why forums have spam filters, for example. If I decide to repeatedly post a dozen memes in every thread, I'm not causing harm to anyone, I'm just annoying people for my own gratification.
I don't understand how adults can fail to grasp something so very basic about how society works. If I'm sitting on an airplane and I decide to play the drum, I'm not causing harm to anyone, but I'm probably going to annoy 50 people around me. If I'm constantly talking about politics and posting political images on social media, even when responding to stuff that has nothing to do with politics, then I'm going to annoy a lot of people. If I respond to every mention of bacon or other meats with vegan propaganda, I'm not harming anyone, but I'm certainly annoying a lot of people. The world would not be a better place if everyone just did whatever they wanted all the time, without any consideration for what might annoy other people.
We all get that, right? There's no need to pretend that it's the world's fault for not letting you express yourself, I think. Spamming anime pictures on a Mechwarrior forum is going to annoy people. Obviously.
As a man who's girlfriend and now wife made me look all 7 seasons plus all 4(?) angel seasons in a week (because wisdom teeth removal is no fun) I can't but like this idea!

Buffy!? EVIL! EEEEVVVIILLLLL!!!!
Buffy is a great show. Joss Whedon knows what he is doing. Good plots, great characters and a good looking cast. Its a little cheesy at times but I can look past it.

Same reason you don't want to hang out with that guy who never uses deodorant and ends every sentence with "duuuude!". It's annoying. If people think they have to use stupid methods to stick out from the crowd, they have to live with the fact that other people don't take them seriously and don't want to have anything to do with them. If you have a valid thing to say and care about other people's opinion about it, then present it in a respectful and serious way. That's all there is to it.
I'm confused, OP. Is this your first experience with the interwebz? It is a series of tubes used to share prawn, kitten pictures and anime gifs. Everythong else is literally niche use of bandwidth.
I admit. I'm confused that anyone would even care. The use of images to convey meaning is about as old as human conversation.
I like most of the gifs. Looking at walls of text on a grey-black background does get tedious when it is a very long thread post or high page count. I think the longest lived thread post-count was the two and half years to get the vcrs off the catapults. It was about 96 to 100 pages long.
I'd add a relevant gif but I'm not that form savy. How does one go about adding one? And like American fast food a few gifs are ok but spamming ten or more is not good for you.

Put the image URL inside this format: [img] url here [/ img]
I think if you're going to post giant robot gifs (especially those vaguely similar to battletech) you should be required to provide a source. (so I can watch more bad cartoons with giant robots)
Works for me. After we rewatch eva (Cause one in our household was not allowed anime as a kid and needs catch ups in everything, just finished assassination classroom and saint seiya and aside from persuading the good gundam side stories I need to figure how to squeeze ronin warriors in... Or ranma) we'll need more for Mech days either way.
