ive been calling it the wannaBan3, because it gets you close to a bane-like loadout (10 uac2s and 4 machine guns iirc), a wanna be bane. though i find pure uac2 loadout to be too damn hot. so when you do my 4 uac and 4 lb build, its not quite a wannaBan3 anymore.

The biggest problem I have with uac2s is they are unsatisfying to use. They are kind of like a sporadic laser with a dying battery requiring constant clicking and a lot of face time for inconsistent results.

What I always like most about clan UAcs is the burst nature, and UAC2s were fun to use when they had a 2 burst shot, but since they went to NO burst even though this was seen as a buff I absolutely hated it. I like the Unleashing effect of the clan UACS and after the burst reduction only ac10 and 20 felt "bursty" enough

HEY PGI why didn't you just increase the burst am mount again instead of nerfing annoying jam chances...

I mostly feel the same way on the DWF at least. I recently tried a quad LBX 5 build that works rather well, as the spread on LBX 5s isn't too bad, with a good RoF and heat is almost a non-factor. Triple LBX 10s works reasonably well for me too, but it tends to be a bit warmer to run.

Both of those builds deliver a satisfying boom when you fire them and it's all FLD. I usually mix in 3 or so MPLs so that's why I don't bring as many LBXs as a full boat might.

Running this on mine. Of course, is very far from Optimal, but at least is fun to play.

EDIT: I let that lone heat sink go, and now it has more ammo for the LBX10

Grammar n*zi? Nope, just a fan of the classics:

"There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence."

INB4 citation complaints.

UV is beast if you are used to slow lumbering monstrosities.
I run mine with 4 x uac 10 and 4 xsmall lasers. Damn fun! Yeah, need to cycle fire and put those 4 in at least two groups. I will get used to it. Yes 100 tonners are meant to be slow. Deal with it! Posted Image
Though it oculd use some kind of boost, more torso armor. Agility is for the Kodiak, so the Dire needs more thoughness.

Good pilots are throwing out 1000 + damage with a Uac2 x8 build.

So I'd suggest it's pretty good, if you pilot it properly

Not slopyness and not a typo... It was an intended play on words, but I didn't realise people would not see the obvious. Am I really the FIRST person in the world to call it UltraViolent? Why on Earth would I call a direwolf the UltraViolet when I can call it the UltraViolent.

For example I have never called the Yellow Wang anything other than a Yellow Wang.

Lb 10-X is known as LBX10. etc...

Dammit, beat to the punch.

Well I have to ask, was it a reference to....

My Jade Kite poptarts with 6xUAC2s until brawling starts, and it is pretty effective. Any jam tends to clear up when I'm ready to jump again. After playing the KDK-3 for so long, I forgot how fast and accurate UAC2s are in comparison.

However the color between blue and red is called "violet", hence the DWF hero is dubbed "ultraviolet" (https://mwomercs.com/clan-heroes)

No, I'm not an arrogant native speaker. I learned english as a second language in school and by games and movies.

Flame me if you must, but I just wished people would understand that sloppy communication makes it harder for the reader to understand the message and is therefore unsocial. It's NOT the guy pointing out the sloppiness who is unsocial. It's the sloppy guy himself who makes life unnecessary harder for all his readers.

Thank you for your understanding.

PS:
Although I must admit "Ultraviolent" has a kind of funny side for a Hero Battlemech. :-D

LoL Paigan are you upset of that this UltraViolent term has literally become a "thing" now? I see most youtubers and twitch streamers calling it that.
Was I with the creation of this thread what coined the term? Can anyone find a reference to ultra-violent prior to OP date?

Actually, I thought that calling it Ultraviolent was a very clever play of words making a meme of the new hero, I don't think it was misspell.

Yeah, i'm am aware that violet is one of the secondary colors found between red and blue in the RGB system, along with purple and what have you.

It should not prevent you from getting the color you want though. If only it was some nice shining glossed effect like cobra or jade falcon but no, its only a color you cannot change.

And no need to flame, you did must of the unnecessary flaming here so we got it covered, Mr. Native Speaker. -)

Edited: When you do it all black with white stripes, it becomes green in some parts. Now that is not expected from a "violet based" mech i believe.

Ultraviolet in this case don't mean it's a deep or strong violet but beyond violet from latin ultra "beyond"

It's simply UV radiations

Becose name is "ultraviolet" maybe ... but if you think your PERSONAL ultraviolet dire hero build is ultraviolent YOU can call it like this too maybe everybody will not be aware you are talking about your PERSONAL dire.

Yea there is no color called "violet" between blue and red in the visible spectrum of light but;

No by mixing red and blue you got a violet color look-like for eyes ... it can be with reals colors like when you paint or with RBG colors like in your monitor.

I am not sure he is upset about this " thing " like you say

But maybe he is upset ( or simply amused ) that it appear some people in 2016 don't know what are UV rays, and also this word "ultraviolet" ^^
