Wasn't the Trollmando the LRM5 carrier?

Light mechs carrying streaks is probably the saddest thing I see in the pug queue. It's even sadder than the LRM + MG boating King Crab I saw today.

No, it wasn't LRM-5's. And I have legged and disarmed 5 light mechs in the few matches I have played with it today. Despite the long enduring accuracy nerf, the cooldown lends itself to be a very good light hunter. I'm not going to say its like it was in 2012 - 2013, but it 'works'.

The streak mando was better IMO. The appeal to the raven at the time was energy hardpoints combined with 2 streaks, as well as a lot of mechs having awful hitboxes.

Catapult A1 with 4 s-srm2s and 2 srm6+A is really really fun. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it after the recent changes.

This sounds much like the way I utilize SSRM2's.

Since their damage potential is obviously low, you have to find a place for them through weapon synergies. The best I've come up with is running them in 'mechs with arm-mounted lasers.

For example in my SHD-GD I have 4xML in arms plus 2xSSRM2's (and an AC10) in the torso and head. I can track fast moving targets with my ML's, and then also send a few SSRM's after them. Not setting the world on fire, but it's a bit of extra damage. Plus I enjoy the little woosh-wooshes way more than I should.

The key thing there is that neither relies on the torso reticule, so they play well together, plus the range is the same. Replacing them with SRM's would be awkward as I could only fire after getting the torso reticule on target.

Wait, does this really work? O.o
I mean, how much damage do you do in matches with these four missiles per alpha?

It's not about raw damage so much as it is an inescapable, constant barrage of hornet stings that you have nothing in your power to avoid beyond hoping the enemy pilot overheats or runs out of ammo. :D

Clan Streak SRM4
• Cooldown Duration decreased to 4.5s (from 5s)

That's a 10% buff

Ah, missed that, ty

Anyway, if you're using a MDD there is no point in not going for SSRM6, since even with the buff, SSRM4 have less dps

You save 6 tonnes by going 6xSSRM4 and you can use that to mount lasers that are more effective against heavier mechs than streaks.

I don't see any point in even using IS streaks until they get 4's and 6's.

Well, you can. Kill the annoying light.
How much DPS does it have? With all it’s quirks something about 6?

Between 250 and 700 damage per round. I have since tweaked the build a bit http://mwo.smurfy-ne...f91e8da4fbdcb18 and its surprisingly effective as long as you focus Lights and Mediums, and you make sure to not engage Heavys or Assults.
Also its proven to be the bane of Cheetahs and Locusts Posted Image

Just looked over the cooldown quirks, the hunchback has 30% and after that some mechs (X-5, Orion VA and some more) even get 25%. With the 17% from skill/module extra the hunchie nearly gets 1 second cooldown Posted Image

Will dust off my X-5 with the ssrm build from 2013 still mounted, wheee!
