I found some build suggestions made by GMan29:

Laser Vomit
  • Armor: 28 in one arm, 2 in the other, 56 per leg, max elsewhere
  • cLPL in either side torso
  • 5x cERML across the side torsos
  • 20 DHS, TC1
Wubs
  • Armor: 24 in one arm, 2 in the other, 58 per leg, max elsewhere
  • 6x cMPL split across side torsos
  • 19 DHS, TC1
Brawler
  • Armor: 0 in RA, 16 in head, 52 per leg, max elsewhere
  • 4x SRM6 w/ Artemis (2 in LA, 1 per side torso), 5 tons ammo
  • 2x SPL (RT)
  • 15 DHS
Full Splat
  • Armor: 51 per leg, 17 in head, max elsewhere
  • 6x SRM4 w/ Artemis (across both arms and side torsos), 5 tons ammo
  • 14 DHS
Gauss Vomit
  • Armor: 0 in each arm, 52 per leg, max elsewhere
  • Gauss Rifle (RT), 3 tons ammo
  • 4x cERML (across side torsos)
  • 14 DHS
Large Pulse
  • Armor: 0 in each arm, 52 per leg, max elsewhere
  • 3x cLPL (2 in RT, 1 in LT)
  • 15 DHS
I like these builds, at least some of them. 6MPL LBK sounds great.
But I have an additional question. If you own the standard or collectors pack only, no reinforcements and no hero, what would you do with your Linebacker? It seems that all (most) of these builds are only possible with owning all omnipods and changing them. I'm sure that I got made my Linebackers working well but nonetheless I need some input here.

Thanks to GMan129 for the suggestions.
Please have in mind that he wrote it in July 2016.

Well you've hit on the problem for all these clan sets. Posted Image

Basically you have unlimited Prime, A and B omnipods, Just one of each C and D pod until they get released for c-bills and only ever 1 of each Redline pod unless you buy extra heroes.

You can do some similar builds like:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...a3af6e9bfbf78f2

The C carries a lot of the energy slots as it has a 3E left torso and the RL has a 3E right torso.

Problem is without some of the C/D/RL pods you run into the problem of having a lot of arm mounted weapons so you can't strip armor there and they're also more vulnerable.

What exactly is the relevance of that to his question?

Coincidentally some of the ones like the Redline weapon bonuses are awful. I do use the Prime ones as those are great.

Edit: Some of the weapon quirks are on pods btw so even if you lose the 8/8 set bonus you can still get agility/structure and some weapon quirks, e.g the ER PPC 10% heat reduction quirk is obtainable off a pod.

REDLINE

overcomplicating things usually ends in failure,i like this build, very simple to use and you can actually press the attack constantly without having to worry too much about overheating in battle

Wubline

this is purely a fun/troll build, situational and somewhat effective in some maps, its basically one of the best flanker builds because of the high alpha and short duration, but you will have to be close...very close

I will repeat my question:

I would appreciate an answer on that, thank you in advance.

With only the standard pack Linebackers, I'd take the right ST of the Prime and the left ST of the B and throw them on the same mech, then mount dual ER PPCs. Normally I'd use the Redline right ST and have two small lasers as backup weapons, but with only the standard pack, I'd mount an SRM4 and one ton of ammo in the right ST for backup. I'd strip all armor off the arms to accomplish this; I think it makes room for a TCOMP-I even.

Dual ER PPCs or LPLs take the best advantage of the Linebacker's high mounts in my opinion. The set of 8 bonus on the LBK-PRIME of +30% ER PPC velocity is nice and all, but I'd rather have both of the PPCs mounted high and learn to aim than have to sling one in the arm just to save that one qurik.

Only got the base pack (well, collector's, but the (S) is pretty much just a Prime) and haven't changed the pods around at all to see what I can do. I kept the builds more or less stock and fairly simple:
LBK-PRIME
LBK-A
LBK-B

See my first answer - its one build but you just aren't going to be able to make the ones he speculated about as he's using pods multiple times he has only one of. Basically whether you get the Ultimate or the Basic you're going to get limited. Posted Image

My favourite build so far has been an all Prime dual ER PPC setup which gets great quirks (1,638 speed with a TC1 is insanely fast) but even there you have to make a choice of either going 1 in each arm or one in a torso and one in an arm. Height variance is painful but it allows you to deadside.

Actually I take that back - you can get a build close to his with minimal changes... its just you end up with not much gauss ammo and arm mounted weaponry.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...2cb44858d17cc4c

More shamefully I'm about to try my first LRM build... yes I know it has no Artemis, TAG or Active Probe but I might swap the top mounted ERML for a Tag (or an arm mounted ERML for a AP).

I came up with this one, which seems to be VERY punchy and capable. With your speed, you get right up on them, then Whack and Wub!

LBK-A Whack and Wub
