"Stuck" with paypal... why is this a bad thing????

Paypal is more secure than doing it direct with your card.

*scratches head*

What do you have against Paypal??

PayPal is the best way to pay online by a long shot. Dome people just can't be bothered setting it up or its temporarily unavailable because it had to jump through more hoops. I tried to buy a steam game with PayPal whilst overseas and it flat out refused. PayPal site itsrlf Said you cannot purchase this content in your location right at the point you'd expect it to say payment successfull

If you trust paypal, they're a great alternative. If you don't and you have no credit card, you're pretty much [REDACTED].

Its the rediculous Playspan crap. I have so many problems paying for games here in Canada because im US military and all my cards have APO addresses. If your IP doesnt match the area of your card's address then it will deny you. I couldnt even use paypal.

Thanks people... I appreciate the answers. I guess I need to go to the bank... will call them tomorrow.

Bless your faces.

Protip: Don't use your card to direct purchase stuff on the net. Use Paypal as a buffer of sorts.
You never know if the company you are buying from has enough security or not. At the very least paypal does.

I used my german MasterCard without any problems.

You might want to talk to your card provider...

There are some Founder's Packs money can't buy. For everything else, there's MasterCard.
I sympathise with the original poster's plight, but I laughed when I read this :P

I thought they were using UltimatePay? At least that's what it looked like when I bought my package just the other day, with my European debit MasterCard.

I'm in the UK and it doesn't seem to be accepting my VISA debit card.

WHY WON'T YOU TAKE MY MONEY?!?! :P

If you're looking to pay via debit card anyhow and if you're using online banking, I'd just get Paypal set up, to be honest... it comes out the account all the same.

I would, however, use an extremely long password and include numbers - preferably a random sequence - to help to prevent fraud (and, if you write it down, keep it in a safe - you can get them for £30 if you shop around - it will prevent relatives and "friends" from getting hold of it).

I've found them OK, but then I've also got a password that's as long as my arm for it, which helps. The phone call to verify that you are who you say you are is a nice touch too.

This is completely retarded. I moved coast-to-coast and haven't bothered updating my billing info because it is a pain in the *** and sometimes takes a full week or more to switch over. In the meantime, I'm stuck unable to use my debit card. If this is the problem, Good luck having me buy the $120 Founders package before the 7th.

Not sure if this is of any help to anybody but since the last Internet Explorer update Ive had problems using Mastercard for some online payments. After much frustration I discovered that clicking on 'Compatibility View' (icon on the right side of Explorers searchbar) while on the payments page fixes the problem. (for me at least)
