fyi.... posting a single photo doesn't prove your good at something. It just proves you did good for a single game. Don't know what mech your in but if its a Kodiak, Dire Wolf, or anything running quad ballistic or Dual gauss/dual PPC then that game is FAR LESS impressive.

Cicada 2B, 5 medium pulse lasers and a std 260 so it brawls better rather than falling apart from an XL kill.

I don't claim one photo proves anything but my consistent scores with mediums and heavies are 300-500 with 600+ in assaults. Lights are my weak class.

You realize people can check your leaderboard stats? Your average matchscore in assaults is between 193 and 221 for the last 5 months. Which means you never hit consistent scores of 600+ even once. 600 dmg alone results in 300 matchscore.

Well, 550 damage per kill isn't exactly the pinnacle of efficiency...

you're insane, my assault average match score this season is 249 and its because i average 1732damage every game, all the time, twice.

The dequirkening of the - 1E earlier this year pretty much ruined knifefighting with it . Energy Range and Duration quirks were nullified ( former range quirk: 5% / former duration quirk: 25% ), Arms and Legs Armor taken away ( 3pts./10pts. ) . Damn shame, nothing in this Game gave me more fun than that Chassis as a Knifefighter .

I also face more competent players by now . Piloting the -1E as a Knifefighter pretty much feels like Kamikaze these days . Mostly, I consider myself lucky if I get in range to fire at anything at all , and pulling 200, 300 dmg and maybe even scoring a kill or 2 is reason to celebrate .

Yeah... he's probably averaging around 300-350 damage/battle.

The only time he did better was Season 2/August in heavies, where he might have managed around 400 damage/battle.

I can't really understand why people are claiming false numbers when everyone can easily check them. Obviously lying about the own results doesn't really do good for a persons credibility. Or the point he is trying to make.

Dealing with a locust is still an f-ing riot with me, whether i pilot an Urbie that can chase it, or heavier that should be able to take it down with one alpha.

Atlas isn't the scary ones, it's the Jenners, Commando, and Locusts for me.

Normal W/L and K/D for that match score is around 1.55 and 2.0

So that is fairly low W/L and K/D for that average match score, which suggests you weren't doing damage effectively.

What was your damage/battle? Around 500?


I've been playing mostly Timbies (with 3x Large Pulse, 3x ER Med builds) this month, and my heavy leaderboard stats are 1.06 W/L, 1.67 K/D, 276 average MS.
The K/D is only slightly lower than the norm for the MS, but my W/L is way lower, which suggest I haven't been effectively focusing my damage to score kills enough, or just haven't been helping my team out adequately.

Sure there are some terribads there who can't aim at all but mostly it's about positioning. Heavy focus from two or three mechs can mess you up pretty bad and when that happens it's mostly gg for that player resulting in sub 200 dmg. And that's the problem with alot of players... They don't see being in disadvantageous position and thus blame the team for moving away from that "leaving" the guy alone. Some players don't know how to effectively play the maps, they don't know strong points or are unable to assume enemy movement. It's not that fast to move away from an enemy push for example unless you're 80+ kph and if you didn't foresee any possible enemy movement patterns you're done. Or your team is done when you run on a wild goose chase nascaring the edge of the map like an unintelligent person without realising the time you nascar means thousand dmg for the enemy team while you shoot nothing.

Yeah of course it's sometimes frustrating to see people just melt but what can you do about it when the fundamentals are wrong. Also the tier system and matchmaker is not good. But then again we would be waiting for matches for ages in tiers 1 and 5... dunno really what would be worse. I think the best for now is just suck it up and deal with bad games in solo queue.
