Nobody saw it until the Steam launch party where it was introduced as a...mushroom cloud and a bang

On the other hand, you can take phase 2 and just continue to piecemeal improvements each month. 1 small step forward each month adds up after a year and its less risky. Maybe you get less features overall, but Phase 3 would have never happened.
We dont know how much money went into phase 3 between mid 2015, and april 2016. Whatever it was it not only didnt help the game player # wise it also accelerated the slow decline of the mode vs if we had just stayed at phase 2.
Maybe PGI will execute the things they promised in Sept but so much time will go by I dont think much of the CW old guard will still be around. It will be increasingly dependent on fresh churn to come along.

Small hint, proper grammar and punctuation would help. A coherent thought would be nice too.
"I rather me and Russ fumble all day then leave anything to you" no idea what that even meant.
that is because my post was quoting another post. So taking my quote out of context would make it incoherent. Your smarter than that, well not really.

honestly, should have kept it out from the beginning. Anyone who saw mechwarrior vids about it in other games should have known better, but that's what happens when tons of players ask for different things

We've seen this movie before... it was called "UI 2.0".
We know exactly how this movie went.

At least myself.... and people that used to play CW/FW with me...
I don't need to talk to the people that cleared the queues after the Long Tom appeared though... the queues function the way they are designed... people leave it because it was moot point... a pointless endeavor once the Long Tom appears.
That's not the point anymore, but anyone that's noticed this behavior (on either side of the Long Tom) can vouch for FW activity diminishing because of the Long Tom.

I also don't care what they sold you on. What they presented was more of a mess than what we have now
You are purposely willfully ignorant. His spending habits do matter. So do most of the spending habits of the whales. The only way it doesn't matter is if new players outpace the outgoing of older players. Then his spending habit matter far less.
You are also willfully ignorant in most posts about Community Warfare. A sizeable chunk of player units were formed around the initial ideas of Community Warfare. Expectations were set and at the end of the day it has been obvious for quite a while those initial and even later expectations were not going to be given the attention which were deserved. PGI largely diddled on figuring out how to
1. Create a useful front end UI
2. Create a useful backend
3. Weapon balance
4. Selling more mechpacks
5. E-Sports
much further down the list was / is CW enhancements.
Thus CW / FP is dead. GG PGI. GG.

Let me remind you fellows of the E-Spurt thinking that just added to the CW poison, already Russ admitted that the tournament was there but at a loss of capital, why the hell a small studio would do that? publicity ? well it didn't work out and wont in the end. CW it was born to fail as all MMO games that has zones controlled by the player base, just like Warhammer online had and failed, others as well but I don't remember the names but they are many.
Point is, PGI want a minimal viable product, they do all is possible for that but with the franchise they got its hardly possible, so there is only 3 scenarios possible, they let it die, they step it up or stretch it with minor features like decals. 3rd option is the most likely.
Up coming Mechcon will definitely make the game or kill it, I only expect a rehash of what we already know ( aka scrapping assault game mode) Mech Packs again and not much more.
CW year review is easy to do, It was born to die.

My unit is all but deserted, I think there is maybe 3-4 that actively log in. Most just quit playing, others went to other units. I myself have stopped playing CW, despite several invites. The mode is not appealing anymore. I don't know what the future holds, I saw the NGNG podcast and it sounds like Uncle Russ doesn't have a clue on what the hell is going on. I really hope they can turn it around but I seriously doubt it.

I agree Tavious. The only thing keeping NS going is MRBC and sadly the slow migration of Kuritan players into NS. 1/2 of NS is made up of former Kuritan units. Almost all guys we played CW with back when it was fun. Even many of them are gone now. We purged much of our CW unit roster of inactives. Part of our MRBC team is typically bolstered by guys from friendly units. I talked with Cham not long ago on Steam. Oatmeal joined us not long ago. We don't do CW much aside from events. Stop by TS if you like and no this isn't a recruitment message, just if you want some group drops or the rare CW drop.

getting the use of a word wrong doesn't make my post incoherent, but I rather you address me being taken out of context. Seeing as you are a fair individual, most likely not though.

Discussion is generally good when that happens. Guess that is what happens when there is zero value to a post.
Funny I say people don't care. then 4-5hrs later there is a moderator report in my inbox over a post from a month ago.
Someone is just mildly childish.
Probably get another one too. Watch your back nehbebkau - you might be next.

honestly suprised some people and probably myself are not banned. Yea, if it takes months for the mods to regulate for threads to stay on topic and leave the nonconstructive banter then maybe some of the threads might get somewhere. then again I just realized how dumb it is to try to participate in threads where people are know to be overly bitter participate. I should pay more attention from now on.
The COC means nothing to some people, let alone how to act civil towards some.

So, do you think it would be possible to put in some type of balance into FW or should we just accept that we have what we have?
Even with all its faults I still liked FW when we would get balanced matches -- and I would hate to just see it die.
