The Maps In Quick Play

In Quick Play I see that some of the maps never come up, they are Boreal Vault, Emerald Taiga, Hellebore Springs, Grim Portico, Sulfurous Rift and Vitric Forge.

Why don't these maps ever appear in Quick Play?

They are made for faction play where there is a large base with automatic turrets, gates blocking entry, generators and space defence cannon. One side attacks and another defends. If you play them on testing grounds those things are missing, gates are open and generators and cannon can't be attacked.

I guess the quick games could played on them too, just randomly choose which side defends and which side attacks, but they are essentially corridors.

So basically PGI has just choosen it to be like that. I think it's good for the FP for them to have unique maps. The maps could work just fine in QP but then they would not be unique to FP. You have to remember FP was promised right from the start of developement, but it was not in the game, it was implemented later after several delays. And it's current state is not highly praised.
