Would like to see this game mode once more in a MechWarrior game.

Idea: Redo Faction warfare and integrate it with quick match. So that every battle is Faction based warfare. Oh and for ***** sake, no mercs.

Yep, this would be great. Easy to implement. Replace the flag with a hovering drone, similar to the UAV. Implement a max speed limit when carrying the flag, to prevent lagshield 170 kph ECM Locusts / 160 kph Spiders from stealing the show every time. Voilá.

But Paul prefers to create his own game modes, which usually involve static objectives and standing on boxes or standing on circles.

What about standing on a objective, but instead of a circle or a square it's a....



TRIANGLE!!!

I have long wanted a "raid" mode where one side is trying to steal supplies from the other. Give hand actuators a use by requiring them to pick up supplies. I suppose you could have both sides rushing to secure from central depots, but that seems like it would become another "kill enemy; win by default" mode.

One team trying to kill the other's grounded dropship (give us Union) would be fun too.

still blaming mercs for killing FW, when the big units refused to fight each other? rather they pug stomped until people were telling others to stay out of FW unless in a big group. Effectively barring the rest of the player base from playing for fear of being stomped

I'd rather see a gamemode where teams are forced to fight over multiple objectives simultaneously. Otherwise they tend to play out like Skirmish. I'm not sure this CTF mode, as it currently is, would be any different gameplaywise than what we have now.

Mechwarrior 4's CTF mode was quite different than what we have now. I personally enjoyed it.

It was also horrible. If we really want to have a CTF game mode, it should really emulate the hostage game mode from CS:GO than traditional CTF games.

I liked it. Heck, it was probably the only time I liked piloting Lights in MW game. That, and zooming into the middle of the enemies and detonating the explosives I boated, in that game.

It was fun until people started to play like they weren't spuds. There is a reason that the more competitive leagues avoided it (not that skirmish is that much better because of camping).

I'd still like an escort game mode. Seems very much MechWarrior. I recall convoy escort missions throughout different MechWarrior games in the past.

So another mode where speed doesn't matter and instead of capturing the flag everyone just sits around waiting to kill anyone dumb enough to try and pick it up.

Love the fact you are trying...but anything beyond shoot at robots by yourself requires social attitude and/or teamwork. Something the mwo player base actively seems to avoid, if you count the anti social/unit/ts/teamwork posts.

domination is supposed to be capture the flag/king of the hill game mode

I don't really like the idea since its just run to the center and try to out alpha the other guy

but some players like it

I want more tactics more use of the map
I want light on light engagements off to the side
