If I spend extra money on Expansion/Hero/Reinforcement packs to buy mechs, I should be able to buy any Omnipods that are available to those mechs.
For example I have a LBK-D, but I cannot buy additional LBK-D omnipods...?
Why not?

Because variants with those omni-pods are not available for MC/C-Bill purchase, yet. Just how PGI rolls.

It's because PGI literally can't figure out how to prevent basic pack users from buying reinforcement pack omnipods. They realized that with the Viper, and locked out buying new reinforcement omnipods for everyone. It's been this way ever since.

It's a bad practice anyway, to paywall omni pods like they do. It's like if they paywalled standard 300 engines for IS if you ask me.
