Jesu Christe...

At least the heavy pack is okay. But it's still two mechs for the price of NINE.

HotRod (Flame) pattern and Camo Black, Crimson Red, and FRR Pure Orange colors applied and unlocked (2500 MC)

Cosmetic MC Value - 2,500 MC

Shouldn't that actually be higher? It's a full pattern unlock on two mechs plus 3 colors.

The point is the price is good if one was willin to pay the high prices on not just one or two in game purchasables, but rather on a little bit of everything. The premium time and Cbills are particularly worthless to most players.

Thanks for catching that. When I started doing the math, I accidentally was doing it off the first performance pack, which worked a bit different on that front.

Math will be fixed in a moment, though it doesn't really change much.

At least in the heavy pack both mechs are good, so that's worth buying if you want to waste your money. Warhawk C is good too, but with Zeus I'd pass... Otherwise NO and for the light pack WTF were they thinking :D

I happen to like the ebon jaguar quite a bit thank you very much. These Mechs are all available for in game currency so I don't really see the point in paying money for them.

Wow, those mech picks. The only way the light choices could've been worse is if they had chosen a Commando instead of the Panther.

Panther and a Mist Lynx? That pack will fly off of the shelves.

Anyone who ignorantly spends $39.99 on the pack will rage quit the game, before they clear the Cadet Bonus.

PGI foresight is at an all time low.

Not only that... I'm sure new players will love buying 2 more mist lynxes and panthers to grind for master skills! Posted Image

Here are the replacements they should've made:
  • SDR-5K or LCT-1E instead of the RVN-3L
  • GRF-2N or GRF-3M instead of the HBK-4P
  • HBK-IIC or HBK-IIC-A instead of the SCrow
  • WHM-6R instead of the TDR-9SE
  • MAL-MX90 instead of the KGC-000B
  • KDK-3 instead of the Whale

Yikes. Pricey, pricey.

And the only saving grace for these packs are the clan mechs, once again... Ebon Jaguar is the flexible gun platform it's always been, the Warhawk is the best variant WHK-C, and the shadowcat is... well, a shadowcat. Mist Lynx ain't jack.

As for the inner spheroid mechs, the Zeus' has SOME utility with either PPCs or as a brawler, but it's not worth the price tag. The Crab is the 6 energy variant with the useful quirks, as in the best of the chassis. The grasshopper is arguably the better variant with it's shoulder mounted energy hardpoints. The Panther is... well, a panther. As in flaming garbage.

You just have to wonder what PGI are thinking when they make decisions like these.

Good choices, except you're forgetting these are all champions.

JR7-IIC in for ACH would have been good too, for full switch.

Seems like they hate money, for a change.

Well some of their champion choices suck too (GRF-1S, why would you pick the worst variant, seriously?).

That said, if we are restricted to Champions for these because PGI likes to make things difficult even though these are their own types of mechs (designated S instead of C like champions) then here are my new choices (with less changes since some of those are still the best champions for their class/tech base):
  • SDR-5K or LCT-1E instead of the RVN-3L (Unchanged)
  • ENF-4R or SHD-2H instead of the HBK-4P
  • HBK-IIC instead of the SCrow
  • BLR-2C instead of the KGC-000B

PGI still thinks Victor is a Tier 1 mech... go figure.

That light performance pack is a bit of a joke in of itself

I completely disagree with switching Griffin instead of HBK. Hunchback 4P is imho the best starter mech and it's still very useful in pugs up to T1. The rest of the HBK variants are also good and fun to play while I can't say the same for Griffin. Switching HBK-IIC for SCR is just a matter of taste. SCR is a very strong chassis still and doesn't need to be changed from the pack. For the last part KDK wasn't available when the packs were released, of course they could update it better :) But oh well, matters of opinion. I don't think all the mechs should be comp ready T1 Div A finalist chassis as long as they are better than most, of course these new ones are mostly a joke except heavy one.
