I have three Griffins and they are OK. I have won enough MC to buy this or another Hero.
My choices would be between the PXHs (which I hate) and Sparky.
Oddly, the PXHs have TWO Heros. I bought the PXH package and I assume I did not buy a Hero because they do not bring much to the table. And if I get a package, I normally get the Hero.
So Sparky has some nice quirks.
And these would be my basic builds.
So, what is everyone's opinion on Sparky and these builds?
Also, I'm sucking at playing my Misery so if anyone has some good builds for it please add them.
Thanks!

Sparky is, IMO, one of the strongest heroes in the game. The underlying chassis is solid and it can do a wide variety of effective energy builds.

The Sparky is a great mech but your builds are bad.
I suggest you try 2 LPL + 4 ML. Or, if you want more speed, 2 LLas + 4 MLas.

I run 4 ERLL on my Sparky, works pretty good, have to manage the heat though.

Bought it today, not done with the basics 'cuz lazy.
It can handle laservomit, tho a bit hot (even with quirks).
So far, i've tried
6 MPL 1JJ XL300 20DHS
2 LPL 4 ML 1JJ XL295 17DHS
2 LL 4 ML 1JJ XL315 18DHS
2 ER-PPC 3JJ XL295 19DHS
It excels at jumpsniping with 2 ER-PPC inho.
Definitely don't regret buying it, All the more @ -50% off.
Since blackjacks got considerably nerfed, having a 55 ton mech for dropdecks is also appealing. I tried shadowhawks (mediocre for FP), got stuck with either blackjacks or cicadas. It's nice to have another option and finally fill out full tonnage if i run non 75 ton heavies / assaults.
I actually consider to buy a 2nd copy.
__
On a sidenote: faction camo for griffins is as of yet not implemented (a little downer for me to be honest)
And the older camos (especially the buccaneer camo ) is not on the same level of fidelity as on the newer mechs (marauder/blackknight/etc), very similar to the shadowhawk/battlemaster.

To brawl in Sparky you need skill and permanent luck. If you don't have it use 4 LL config and don't get closer 200m.

i've played a couple more rounds with the 2 er-ppc setup, people who like the 2 c-er-ppc playstyle (hunchy, nova) will very much enjoy the that sparky setup for IS.

Sparky is a good mech. It won't overwhelm you with its awesomeness, but if you're already invested in Griffins and are relatively new (i.e. not a lot of different chassis in your inventory yet), it's a solid way to expand from a traditional brawler into a laser vomit poking build.
The builds posted above are a good place to start, especially the 2 LPL 4 ML build. Put 2 ERPPC's on it and try your hand at poptarting if you want a challenge.
