Hello there, I have an idea that may help with some of the balance problems in CW/FW. My idea is simple. Lets use the current loyalty setup but change it a bit. Every 5 levels IS/Clanners would be able to replace one mech (in their drop deck) starting off at level 5 with a single mech that is from the other faction, at level 5 it would be a light mech, level 10 a med and so on till you have the full range of mechs available to the player from both clan mechs and IS. The mechs would still use their faction weapons and equipment (IS mech = IS weapons/equipment). I believe that this would allow the game to become much more balanced and frankly fun! There is both a Lore reason to do this as the IS and the Clans DID use the others mechs depending on the type of unit that they were assigned to. Even the current leader of House Davion in lore (Victor Davion) pilots a Dashi (Dire Wolf). that was presented to him by Jamie wolf on Outreach. Remember on Outreach they actually have the Star League era facilities to construct such high tech mechs. That does not even touch on the fact that both IS and the Clans Did Salvage each others equipment from battlefields. Well i am sure that there are reasons that this may not work but I would greatly appreciate knowing what others think about this idea.

Thank you for taking the time to read my idea.

Sounds like a feasible plan which would make FW a bit more balanced,

Either this or 2 clan stars vs. 3 IS lances.

It runs into what pgi is explicitly trying to avoid, which is people rushing to clan tech and thatll lead to problems. Maybe you could get one crossover of any weight, but then everyones grabbing a kodiak and every first wavell be 24 kdks.

I thought itd be a good idea a while ago, but after really considering it, i see it having problems.

I understand what you are saying but Some claners are always saying that IS mechs are op and need to be nerfed and vice versa. this way you have the choice to pick either IS or clans mechs regardless of whether you are IS or Clan. Imagine as Clan being able to bring in a wave of Oxides or any other IS mech you wanted. Same goes for IS but with Clan mechs.

"Would you like to"? No. Should we be able to? Yes.

If they could find a good way to implement it i would be interested, but i see too many oportunities for it be a problem down the road, but id be interested a bit. What if the higher lvl you are, the more croosover tech equipment and weapons you can put on a select, chosen mech? I see that being less of an oportunity for gaming a sytem, and it would be cool to get general, and then be able too outfit an atlas with a clan xl.
