In order to get this started sooner rather than later, I have decided that I will get enough of the "challenge" up to get people started by the end of the weekend and then I will add rest a few days later. Alright, I stayed up late and managed to trim the "fluff" down to a size that should reasonably fit in a single topic post while still giving enough background to explain some of the "Rules". I did have quite a back story though and I want to return to that at some point in the future and make that available in a .PDF for anyone that is interested.

Also, my buddy who "upgraded" the logo gave me some good ideas and now I have decided that this "challenge" while quite long itself, will be just one part of a larger meta "event". So those of you who end up not liking this challenge may want to keep your eyes out for the next part of the "meta" event.

Finally, I don't want to make this all tease with no payoff, so I will not post anymore updates here until I am done with the new recruit and "Quest" sections.

I am came up with a good backstory for the next part of the meta challenge, so I should have that up in a couple days so anyone who was not interested in the Order of the Black Phoenix can check it out and get started on it if they choose.

Also, I am simultaneously working on getting the rest of the tasks up for the Quest to Knighthood and then I will be adding the first of the persistent challenges that Knights of the Order will take part in. Yes the grind is difficult, I am working on the first task in the Quest to attain Knighthood and grinding xp in a stock Phoenix Hawk PHX-1 is especially challenging in and of itself.

Hey Ed keep an eye out for the new skill system parameters. (Edit: it supposedly won't require 3 variants anymore)

It may help inform how you build some of the grind

Thanks. Yes, I am aware of this and may need to adjust some of the tasks accordingly. This just means that the first Knights of the Order will be able to talk about how easy the newer Knights have it

Also, a new project update:

Although the original Order of the Black Phoenix were heroic and idealistic, they were also loyal soldiers of the Star League Defense Force and some of their operations had unintended consequences.....

The Betrayed needs a unit leader, preferable someone who is not a member of The Order of the Black Phoenix, this would ideally be someone who was interested in the Order, but does not like Phoenix Hawk mechs. https://mwomercs.com...__fromsearch__1

Pretty sure you'll come up with someone for this. By the way, you may want to spot-check the dates in your Lore post for The Betrayed. I'm pretty sure it's not intended to be dates in the 21st century.

After some thought, I have decided that I will no longer work on The Betrayed challenge / event. I want to focus on making the Order of the Black Phoenix Challenge / Event as awesome as possible and I have also thought up a new way to do the "meta" event (which was a ways away).

Anyway, thanks for checking The Betrayed out and thanks for the likes.
