Seriously, the salt levels lately are way to high....I get it PGI has hurt you in the past...the game is not this super spectacular AAA title (the one I guess we were promised?). But honestly we are at this point where every other drink we have is over salted water (the other for some is a shot of something strong)

Anyway, if the forums were a person, our blood pressure would be way off the safe scale. We need to seriously get off the high sodium foods/drinks.

I get some disappointment and venting is common, but there is no reason to get this salty ovet a game....Specially with Mechcon here in 3 to 4 days. Let's try to lower our sodium in take guys here over this holiday season?

It could be, very good foundation indeed. But thats about it. Best mechwarrior game? 3, 4, 2 in that order for me.

Maybe we should try to tone down the salt...

This still is probably the best Mechwarrior game to date, not many companies would be up to making a game this in depth these days (aka most would just go the Mechassualt path...) If PGI and MWO goes belly up, we probably won't get another Mechwarrior game ever again, specially if any other studio see's how this community had a way of biting the hand that feeds them!

Oh.

The solution to saltiness is not 40 pounds of sugar. It's great that you appreciate the game, and I can't exactly tell you that this isn't the most enjoyable Mechwarrior game for you, but please, you and I both know that's not the common opinion.

And while it may be true this is Mechwarriors last gasp, or last leg, so to speak, it speaks of a lack of class to bring it up in a thread of this context. 'Stop being salty, suck it up, and support it or it will be gone forever?'

Please.

That part is for the one's who are so salty, they want to see PGI and MWO burn, all while they would sit and enjoy the flames. Game is not perfect no, but there is alot going for it here. I can't recall the other mechwarrior games have some very close to TT build rules. Specially as the series progressed (see MW4 mech lab).

Tell me, would you see Microsoft/actovission/EA/Blizzard/ubisoft ect have the same build rules as we have? Seriously do you see them adding in that much customization to a MW game?

The ONLY reason MWO is called shallow is cause we have QP PVP and 4 respawn PVP. If we had a PVE campaign of any sorts, would you still mock for "lack of content"?

Even when you despise MW4 build rules because they were not TT conform - they did not repeat the mistakes made in the TT.
and the MechCon? The last grasp?

No sirs, the game is going down and we are sitting in the front row. Enjoy it as long it lasts - in my opionion MWO had the chance to became the best MW Game ever - but we lost a bunch of features that made it unique in the months of closed beta.

other changes that should made it better made it just worse.

It's still no excuse for letting an IP hold you hostage. If people love Mechwarrior, but hate what MWO is, then they should not support it.

What? Mechwarrior has gotten further away from the TT construction rules as the series has gotten older (Not necessarily a bad thing). MW4 was the furthest away from it prior to MWO.

It's arguable if the build rules we have now are any good. And technically, MWOs build rules are based on MW4s build rules, which was made by Microsoft, so... yes. Yes, I can see them having these build rules.

Because they made the damn things in the first place.

Seriously do you see them adding in that much customization ton a MW game?

You must be talking about the variable weapon mount graphics. Or are you defending the module system as some sort of game defining feature?

My salt is all a result of PGI its decisions and conduct. For about a year I was as sugary and full of empty salt free calories as this game is bereft of new content.

I didn't start binging on salt until Phase 3 dropped and PGI's president told the collective playing community to shut up and feel blessed at by it and him.

They made the salt, I am just sprinkling it on this bland meal of CW that they call have the effrontery to call immersive "end game" content and the gall to suggest that it is "fine".

What? You can't defend what MWO is by postulating what it could be.

If QP PvP and FP PvP are shallow, and that's all the game has, then the game is shallow. Theoretical scenarios don't change reality.

Tell me though how would the other MW games hold up to our rankings, if they were just death match after death match? Honestly would you still call them fleshed out if they didn't have thier campaigns?

I joined the roundtable at roughly Dazur levels of sodium. I thought that, as a relative newb, I might be a voice of reason where the jaded came up against the devs. I actively encouraged taking a social science approach to sorting out the feedback in an effort to determine more than "some people are unhappy with LT" but instead how many people wanted what. The result wasn't based on any attempt to establish consensus. Rather, it looked more like Russ pre-agreed to cave on LT and then choose the path of least resistance in reforming CW.

In doing that, I came across all of the long-timers, frowned at the amount of negativity, but also noticed how many said "We've already done this before with no results", including many people who just linked to their already-ignored but very-well-thought-out ideas. Through this, I came to understand the long-fought battle for attrition that so many have participated in.

Every online game has salty vets. The most common characteristic is they're unhappy with changes that ruined their earlier enjoyment of the game. They don't like how it got changed. That's what makes this community different. The major complaint is how it has not been changed.

PGI has already tried to slap the finished sticker on this project and move on to another one. The salt in this community killed that. The apologists ought to thank those who intervened there.

So it goes. People are imminently going to abandon this project. Pressure is absolutely needed to avoid that. Sodium adds to blood pressure.

And the true referendum is about to go down.

Sodium will max this weekend, and then the chips will fall. The hands will be played.

Whatever is bound to happen will become bound on Saturday.

Oh, I see. You're saying this is the best Mechwarrior because it has the best multiplayer.

If you think MWO is the best Mechwarrior game ever because it has a match making function, that's your business. And it's my business to remember the economic features of MW2: Merc. And the pure, immersive feel of the cockpit and combat in MW3. And MW4, which was just fun.

You know, there was another 'say a nice thing' thread recently. And a lot of people said nice things. I did too.

But don't feed me the 'civil thread' crap on this one. This thread is condescending, it's dismissive, and it's an act of classless felatio.

I simply play this game as log as I enjoy it (and I enjoy it alot). The best way to not get salty is to ignore those MWO-armageddon threads and simply enjoy the game.

People come to this forum to be salty. If there happened to be nothing to complain about they would make stuff up ( tinfoil hats and all ).

I play the game and when I can no longer stand the people I play with, I log off and play something else. The reading over here is just entertainment at this point.
