Dear Santa,

I write here know I have been mostly a good boy this year! I passed all my schooling, I listened to my parents and did my chores, I was nice to my Sister all year! I know you see everything and you know I am on the nice list!

I don't want to sound like I want everything under the sun. I mean a new truck would be nice, all my student loans to magically be paid off. But you see Mr. Claus, there is this event going on in Vancouver this Saturday ALL day, sadly my piggy bank was to empty for me go :( . But I know you can fly there early! I ask because one thing I REALLY want for Christmas is a cool new mech, it's the Diamond Shark Special called the Mad Cat Mk II! It's is the coolest mech out there! I ask that maybe you can give it to the big man Russ at his fancy party? I know he would appreciate the mech ever so much, and maybe he could share it with everyone there and add it to his cool game! Then maybe after a few months I can get one of these from him as a gift!

There are some other toys I wouldn't mind, like a new game (mode) to play with my friends and family, A new game board(map)as the ones I have are getting worn down :(. There are also lots of cool mechs to play with, that even if I can't play with them some other poor kids out there maybe can get them as well.

Thanks CK16

P.s. I will have plenty of Milk and Cookies for you on Christmas :D
P.s.s Also carrots for the Reindeer!

If I'm going to wish, might as well wish big...

Dear Mech Santa,

everything CK said, but I would rather have a PHX-HK-1, WSP-100, WSP-100b or STG-A1 over the Mad Cat Mk. II...

Just to clarify, I'm not trying to be an *** or anything, just don't want everyone's hopes going higher then they already are (And some people have some pretty damn high hopes).

EDIT: Also, Santa, if you're listening...

With a needed facelift for MWO, other wise it could be in for a world of hurt, in the actual game play environment.

Out of curiosity, how would you 'fix' the Sunder? Shorter, narrower, or both?

Depending on what art you look at it doesn't look that bad.

We can see from the missile tubes where CT and Head will be, there are 8 missiles tubes in the CT (2 SRM4's) and 4 in the head (only 3 showing, for another SRM4). So that tells me from the left and right of the missile placements in the CT, we have large ST's that are going to be shot magnets, with out the luxury of large shield arms. depending on how they treat the shoulder, it could very well be a total death trap.

Didn't they announce the schedule of itinerary already on the Mechcon page?

But since we are dreaming the impossible...

Dear Santa,

I want the announcement of a MWO expansion pack, The Black Flag of Aegean IV, where you can play as the pirate faction in the remote Outer Rim world of Aegean IV to profiteer from the continuing conflict between the Clans and Inner Spheres. The expansion will feature 5 new maps, 2 new game modes, and 15 secret "Prototype Mechs" that will not be seen in actual combat for tens if not hundreds of years into the future.

Sincerely,
Razen

I mean, Alex's art is never a 1-to-1 with that TRO art. We'll see what we get. The mech has enough of a following (probably the most of any IS omni) and IS omni fits the bill of something they have never done, but I'm not sure if it meets Russ's "really special", which sounds like its a little over hyped for just an IS omni.

Narrower, with beefier arms for shielding the ST's that mount that large 360 IS-XL engine.... then again I'd also re-tool it from the ground up as a 85t omni with Endo and a 340 IS-XL... better weight efficiency.

They could also take the Black Hawk KU, she's never been in a game as far as I am aware, granted she is just an IS 60t Nova, but still not something that has been done before.

How ever based on his wording, I half wonder if it will be a pure PGI creation from the ground up... but doing that they have to be very careful with how to build it, it can't be too good, but it can't suck either.

I don't think the Black Hawk KU fits the "we haven't done before, ever" clause any more than the Sunder. "We" is PGI specific, not any MechWarrior.

I thought about that too, and I think that is a terrible idea. There are SO many BattleTech mechs that people want already..

Maybe this is just wishful thinking, but when Bombadil saw the art for the "special" mech, it seemed like something he recognized and that we would like, not sure if he would have reacted as positively for something created from thin air.

Oh I completely agree, building a custom mech for MWO would be bad, as there are many, many mechs that people want. How ever the real problem I see, is most of those mechs that people want come hand in hand with new weapon systems. Like the infamous Fafnir, is it really the Fafnir with out HGR's?. Is the Blood Asp really the Blood Asp with out Heavy Lasers?

I was one of the people making noise about the MAD-IIC having so many PGI variants, I also made noise about the Mauler having 3/4 variants being PGI variants. I see that they have skirted very close to the line on custom mechs, but they have yet to cross that line, but once that happens I can see any relation to Battle Tech being tossed out the window completely.

I just wonder what does Russ even consider to be soooooo special, NEVER done before, etc.

I'll be preparing for massive disappointment, personally.
