Is the single-player going to be made by PGI? If so, then meh.

Well at least we know why MWO hasnt been getting any real development, cause the above has been taking all the resources.

Hate to break everyone's hype here, but does anyone remember this?

Remember folks, what is presented and what we actually get are two different things.

Siding with Bandito here with the PGI comment. My expectations are at a minimum still. And only 3015 tech?

Eh......

BTW is that a new youtube channel the clip is posted on.

Or did PGI delete all the other content on there.

added a breakdown of the HUD.

I'm really liking that the paperdoll is on the RIGHT HAND side. and the enemy is on the LEFT HAND side.

I'm really hoping that MWO brings HTAL into MW5.
I'm hoping that PGI tries their hardest to make MW5 a MECHWARRIOR experience, and not a PGI experimental experience, like they did with MWO.

I sharpened the images so they read a bit better (I dunno if it helps, to be honest lol.)

This was a trailer they made to shop around for a publisher. They were unsuccessful at funding the project, so they went the free to play route. Now they'll finally be able to make the game they wanted 10 years ago.

Russ also said there will be no micro transactions. Hopefully that stays true.

Every game on the market has DLC. I find it hard to believe PGI will buck the trend and not go for the easy money.

Yeah, they could easily do campaign extensions as DLC. not sure why they would rule that out. unless they're going to go for the more traditional style and just release expansions.

or just nothing at all and update the game through free patches.

I miss the old MW5.

At this point, while interesting and potentially a better alternative to MWO, I don't get my hopes up. I've been around far too long to get excited.

its unfortunate mwo will never see them.

And why the hell not? If MW5:Mercs is successful, I would happily buy a mission pack or two. An old school expansion pack would he perfectly in line with the Mechwarrior franchise.

Here's a thought, with the development of MW5, is there hope that MWO will eventually make the leap to a new engine and mimic the progress and knowledge they seem to have gained from all these years that they're showing off in this MW5 teaser?

Also side note: MW5 TEASER HAS RETICULE SWAY!!! YAY FOR SIMULATION AND NOT ARCADE SHOOTING LIKE MWO HAS!

Expansions would be one thing, microtransactions is another. I'm hoping he meant they'll stay away from the MWO/Freemium style microtransaction model but will still continue with the old Expansion method that Mechwarrior has used.

Also, I read something about 3015 in here and checked the site. Odd, the setup totally looked like a Clan Invasion thing. My only concern is the lack of Mechs PGI even has for IS right now.

Two thoughts though.
1) The only team will also be creating new IS mechs that MWO/MW5 will both benefit from.
2) The Roughneck better show up in MW5 with its mercenary focus or what was the point?
3) Can't wait to see what Alex pumps out in the future.

Lastly: Once my processor comes in, my PC will be ready and waiting to play MW5. Posted Image
