Other stuff that people would love to see

Reducing pace may make it easier to go for other revenue streams
Like anything else eye candy

That's funny since its an overwhelming no vote

I literally don't know that means

Actually what i meant was Yes for more mechs, it is overwhelming vote for no as in we dont have enough mechs.
My bad i can see where my post may of been confused..
Thanks.

Funny, everyone bit©h3$ about too many mech packs, but when asked if MWO has enough mechs, the NO vote is in the lead at 60%. Way to pu$$y out. Way to "vote with your wallet."

You're just a bunch of hypocrites.

What you didnt take into account is that twitter is the hang out place for fanbois, if you ask the wrong question there or debate or critisise you will most likely get banned, here on the forums he may get a totally different result for his poll.

cnat awnser that question as justy yes and no, so im putting it on here. i think theres too many variants, not enough chassis. mw4 they didnt really do variants, and i was cool with that. even with mekteks no varients, the amount of mechs realeased for that game was astounding.

like..... i want a bloodasp, but i dont want 5 of them. just one and im good. same with the sunder. i never REALLY understood the need for multiple variants. just one is fine, im just gonna rip out all its component parts and replace em with something better anyways.

i forget were i said it, but i once said on the forums itd be cool if they did 6 mechs, no hero or reinforcements, and it was 3 varents per chassis, 2 chassis in each mekpak. and 2 standerp packs a month, that can be comboed to get the whole 70 special thing.

that method would give us more important varients, cause its just 3 per mech, so each one has a little more individuality as opposed to the original system, and then we get to of our new shiney mechs at once.

and total mechs need to be made remains at 6 for the mech making team, so it shouldnt overload them with an insane amount of work that needs to be done in 1 month.

There's a difference between wanting more content besides mechpacks, and wanting mechpacks to completely stop. Because what else would PGI monetize besides mechpacks? That's a scary thought. Majority of the "Wanna buy a mechpack?" crowd is part of said crowd because if you were to look at the front page most of the time, all you get are mechpack ads, with non-mech content being extremely minor.

guess there are alotta fanboyz on twitter

Its not just that. Some will be afraid they leaving mwo behind and go over to mw5. Some believe that more mech does not impede the rest of the game developement(whatever it is). Others need a particular mech.

"do you wana buy a mechpack?" is our meme, its here to stay. Its not even negative in-itself though it does expose the fact that mech is pretty much the only thing we get. with decals now.

I mostly disagree with that. When a mech has enough different variant then we should get it. If some people can only play the most meta mech, its their problem. The xp system should get to a middle ground between the tryhards and those who like to play a lot of mech.More variant right now(when different hardpoints/loadout are available) is better for me than more chassis.

I voted 'No'

due to the fact, that the Clans are sorely lacking in some areas, like the 20 ton Light to match the other Inner Sphere Lights. Only viable enough to handle that is the Arctic Cheater. And it's doing fair to good. If the Fire Moth came into the game, then that would add some seriousness to the Clan Arsenal.

The Fire Moth has the speed capability of the Locust, plus MASC, which'll give it some means to keep up, and it has the firepower to outdo that Locust, and a few other Inner Sphere Lights, namely outgun the Firestarter and Spider.

On another note, there are some Second Line `Mechs that can help bolster the Touman. Like the Griffin IIC, Shadow Hawk IIC, Horned Owl, Glass Viper, Stone Rhino, Bane, Warhammer IIC, Phoenix Hawk IIC, Clint IIC, Command IIC, Locust IIC, and that's just for starters.

I feel like you purposely skipped the Rifleman IIC to make me rage.

Long term no... more mechs wanted.

Short/medium term... aka post new skill tree changes... YES. I only have a few mechs compared to some... but once the skill tree changes drop I'm highly likely to spend time upskilling tinkering with them before purchasing more... and 129 odd mechs is a fair bit of tinker time... even ~43, if one of each.

I can only speculate that low presales of the home brew mech has prompted this question, as producing mechs and selling them is the only way to make revenue for the company.

If this is the case, then it's a silly thing to ask, because P.G.I might not like the answer, though most people realise the need for mechs.

Making a Home brew mech and then pursauding/paying ? Randal Bills to canonise it was a serious misstep, and then being constructed in a way it's going to be obviously good, when there are so many older popular favourites not in the game, turned more people off than got excited.

Had it been the Crusader, it obviously wasn't going to be, because of what was said before mech con. then my enthusiasm for the mech and my desire to see it in game would have blinded me to typical P.G.I hype.

2018 a new solo game.
A skill tree to be introduced next year, that just looking over it for an hour, shows up some pretty serious balancing flaws with how P.G.I intend to introduce the new system, the tree's themselves are a good idea.

Mech IK delayed again, assault delayed again, an Escort mode that doesn't make sense..

F.W changes that might make it playable again, if you can ignore the fact that houses and clans are even more cosmetic than ever before.

The home brew for me brought that to the forefront, and I just decided nope I'm not spending any more money on empty promises, and maybe's.

Too bad Twitter only has a twenty character limit, or that question would have been more informative.

This is a typically worded question that's designed to get the response that the poster expects. Of course the majority is going to say "MOAR MECHS" in answer to that question.

What do you think the YES/NO split would have been to the question if it was worded thusly?:

"Would you prefer more content production over Mech production?"

Then you won't be able to communicate with basically any of the devs besides Mark then. RIP.

Well I wish you luck, since you'll have to leave this forum entirely if you want to avoid my influence.

But personally I don't see how you could have any fun without anime and ****posting. Both of them are in the original constitutional documents dictating what the point of forums are!

Sorry, you were saying?

You just made a statement that Twitter was needed to communicate with the devs, how does the forum make you think you're even a bit influential. Hehe, you're a kid, and I will keep scrolling by your posts as soon as I see your nick ... *waves back*

Sometimes I don't understand how someone can be that oblivious. Do I seriously need to spell it out that yes, our only way to talk with the devs outside a tiny select few is twitter, and no, my joke about my "influence" has nothing to do with PGI. It's joking about the fact that I post here constantly, and it'll be a pain for you to not run into my posts/people quoting me.

Oh, and pulling out the "kid" statements because you don't like my posts? There you go! Now you're getting into the spirit of forum ****posting!

Honestly i'd have asked if certain weight groups have too many mechs.

We seem to be drowning in 65 toners.

I think we need more diversity in the weight groups.

Yeah I'd love to see more lights around.

Evidently Bombadil hopped on Gimpy21's stream earlier on twitch and said there should be a Town Hall on Friday after the patch.
