Actually, new theory.

Its going to get quirks, but people would probably rage about it getting quirks it doesn't need because they didn't know how large it was. Now seeing this first to get the "wow, that's large" reaction, so the quirks tomorrow won't seem out of place. You heard it here first!

(unpopular opinion)
You know, I must've pre-ordered this for the function, not the form, because goddamn I think it's so ugly.

It's like it was done in a totally different art style than MWO's other mechs.
Rounded edges aplenty, and a giant rear that looks like an Armored Core-esque mega-thruster pack. Does this thing have Over-Boost?


Also, lol at the wallpaper images of it firing 3 C-ERPPCs at once. gg potato marauder, gg.

Frankly I think its ugly from the straight-on frontal view, but like the 45 degree angle views.

I was hoping to see the quirks today but no biggie. Honestly I don't see it getting many quirks. As far as weapon quirks anyways. I'd be happy with some structure and/or accel/decel,turn rate, torso turn rate quirks. PGI has done a "good job" of not over-quirking the past several mechs. Though the Viper still needs arm structure quirks and the Phoenix Hawk arm armor quirks should have been a no-brainer from day 1.

Just like the IS MAD, It still looks like its carrying giant jet thrusters on the back... Wait, with the new Skill Tree bringing in "vectoring" allowing horizontal boast, we can have a squadron of MAD-IIC-Bs and MAD-IIC-Cs charge through break points!

The inner sphere marauder has big side torsos which make excellent damage soak. This mech appears to have the same setback. No where near as stream lined as the table top version.

Visually, it looks a little bit bigger than it should based on the Stalker and Warhawk comparisons. I still don't regret buying it.

They will not get any 'but lore' complaining from me if it has vanguard overboost.

Quirks... whatever. They'll be gone soon enough with skill tree, so no need to worry about nerfs either really.

It's like a Stalker with actual arms that can move and stuff. And high torso mounts rather than high arm mounts. Yay!

I think the pain scheme makes it more ugly on the pics than it actually is… at least I hope so…

When preordering, I was thinking the cockpit region was just drawn on the artwork strangely and would look better on the in game model. Posted Image
