Is anyone else lagging really badly? Turning the mech pretty much freezes my screen.

Just had a game crash starting invasion match, but when I restarted the game I could not find how to reconnect. Previously, just attempting to join any FP match would brought a window prompting to rejoin. Is it missing now (possibly a bug?) or there is some new method involved? Anyone knows?

I completely uninstalled MWO.....

re-installing now due to the portal not working.

starting fresh....... sheesh.

I want invasion not quick play, just playing the same map and mode all the time will just kill it for me. if I wanted to play quick play I would just play quick play.
to me needs more adjustment to get some players towards the invasion instead of just Alpine Skirmish

well finally reached invasion, have big mixed feelings about this.

parts I like and parts I dislike . . alot . .but I'm sure I can adjust, just need some more time, just first impression was just quick play, something I don't like

Not happy about the push to shoehorn more respawn into the game (to further stray from MechWarrior's sim roots), but otherwise looks good. I will withhold additional judgement until I am able to play again myself.

OK, here is my initial feedback concerning the new 'Escort' mode---it's terrible! The VIP Atlas is too slow, and because it walks along a fixed path, without any evasive maneuvers or weaponry aside from 4 medium lasers, all the enemy team has to do is to establish a kill zone and then focus fire as it approaches. BOOM! VIP kaput!

Pointless.

Also, here's a consumer tip...I absolutely cannot stand the barking Clanlike voice that yaps at us in every match now. If you were going to add comm voices to the matches, why in the world did you not go out and hire George Ledoux or Carole Ruggier to do it????

dang sure are some long search times, if solo
thought that would gone away, but seems worse, can't see in queue anymore how many are needed to get a match started

Is the locked in loading thing only affecting people w/ AMD components, or is it happening to Nvidia people too?

I installed the game via STEAM. this was faster and much more flawless.

downloaded the game in 16 mins as opposed to 24 hours.

NVidia too, confirmed.
It only happened right after the timer thingy got reset, before that it was fine.. I just wanted to check back after the 99% clan wins got reset.

I wholeheartedly disagree: so far the only things I LIKE in this patch are the voices (more immersion, barking's good!) and the escort mode!
I've done 4 games, and saw a nice 50% spread in wins for defence vs attack (Though I happened to be on winning team each time ;))
But that shows me it IS possible to defend him from zerg suicide rush, and it IS possible to coordinate a strike on the Atlas. Time will tell, but I'm optimistic!

(You didn't mention the true problems of this patch: stupid symbols all over the FOV, and borked FW+clan side imbalance)

I fail to see why the IS streak has a heatscale/ ghostheat penalty at all, let alone having this increased. It is not a weapon capable of a big alpha, and it spreads its damage.

At best you could equip 9 of these, suck a massive penalty, and still not have an alpha equivalent to a clan mech which (using fewer hardpoints) goes unpenalised. IS streak heatscale starts at 8 missiles and damage is spread. Why the hell is this attracting ghost heat?

Ghost heat is a bad mechanic at the best of times, and should be removed totally, but this is a particularly baffling application of it.

Other than that, the patch looks mighty good. I can't wait to play the new game modes. Well done PGI. (and no I am not a sycophant- just giving credit where and when it is due).

Nice changes. But I'm really happy about the collision bug being fixed. I like to get in close and that rubber-banding crap was always very annoying.
If I was in a fast light and ran into an enemy group, I'd start teleporting all over the place. Would practically take more damage from collisions than enemy fire.

However, there does seem to be some kind of general lag that wasn't there before. The spikes (if that's what it is) are very very short, but something is going on. A fair number of people mentioned it yesterday while playing. The hit reg seems to be a bit worse too.

There should be no ghost heat in either IS or Clan Streaks. Since the Streaks were nerfed to almost never hit the CT, they are not nearly as effective as they used to be. You can do far more concentrated damage with SRMs.
