it is a raven sized locust, crossbred with a commando (the ecm variant), and carrying a hatchet. and it goes 162 kph.
proclaim your desire for the scarabus, melee, and more beer here.

I too want the Scarabus! And the Axman! And a Hatamoto-Chi with a katana longer than a semi trailer.
Edit:
Scarabus light mech
Axman heavy mech
Berserker assault mech
Throw in a Buccaneer and we have a good old fashioned quad mech pack!

What about... QUADRUPEDS WITH MELEE WEAPONS?! (i'm pretty sure that Quadrupeds are allowed to mount certain melee weapons like Chainsaws and Dual Saws in their side-torsos)

As far as I'm aware, the only ones that did were some rather junky Industrialmechs. You don't want your precious quads tainted by them, do you?

That's 162 kph... in Battletech?
Almost unheard of... I mean that pales the typical highest speed of 129 without masc....
Holy ****.
I don't wanna face this thing.
....*Immediately goes to face this thing using his Loader King -- aka a possible idea as to what the Roughneck was originally before it became a made up Battlemech that was derived from a made up and undefined industrial competitor for the Powerman. Might need to have two or three Loader Kings for obvious reasons..*
Also tempted to try fighting it using the Nin Kei or its Patlabor-inspired sibling that has yet to be named... some commercial grade Security Mechs I built.
....We'll see how this works out in simultaneous turn-based combat when a Locust's speed is enough to seem like teleporting... and this Scarab's speed...
Heh....
...Heh...
.....I'm screwed.

Don't forget the Firemoth that runs 162 km/h, until it activates its MASC and hits a glorious speed of 216 km/h. Speed tweak THAT! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Honestly?
Regular mechs are closer to Turrets on Legs than Quadrupeds, since you know... They have torso-twisting ala tanks with turrets.
Quadrupeds are more like Tank-destroyers in that comparison.
