We had trouble to get a group launch cleared. We experimented a while for the reason:
- Clan tech in drop deck wehen on IS Side
- number of players
- tonnage of Mechs
However we could not figure out for which reason we could not start a group match under every condition.

Just set your first drop in your drop deck to be a light. It is imposing the quick play drop deck tonnage restrictions in faction mode.

Nope.
We tried making a QP group and changing it to FP to be sure to be in tonnage but that did not work either.
We can only drop in 5 or less.

We tried to drop in a 12 man and couldnt get it to launch regardless of tonnage changes

same problem.
when i join a group is i unable to drub but as soon as i leev they can.
try ed the deck swap and every ting but nogo

We've identified the issue here. Fix is underway, will likely be taken care of in a hotfix (details to be posted once we're finalized).
The issue is that the system is looking at the tonnage of the First Drop 'Mech in your Invasion Drop Deck. If that 'Mech is out of tonnage range for a public queue game the Group won't be able to launch.
Until the hot-fix you can work around this by having all Group members select a Medium or Light 'Mech from their Drop Deck as the First Drop.

so if u put a 55 toner or less in my first spot on my drop deck is shud work?

Yes - just make sure your group doesn't go under tonnage instead....
