After the patch the various game plays are buggy as crap. People being dropped, FPS dropping to basement and so on. Me and other guys in my unit are having to exit the game and come back in to get some semblance restored but that by no means fixes the issue.

The lag has been noticeable. Usually don't complain about these things however it's affecting hit reg.

Will fire streaks, streaks don't launch after cooldown, streaks fire, streaks don't register hitting until several seconds afterwards (crosshairs turning red), etc.

Been seeing mechs warping by a few hops. Again, I have decent ping (80).

Have you ran the repair tool and cleaned out your shaders and what not?
Is your PC a laptop or potato?

These are important to answer.

I'm currently running the game on a potato computer and FPS took a big drop after this patch. Also had a 10 second lag earlier today. Dunno what's going on.

It helps to clear out the shader folder when the shaders.pak data gets updated.

You could use the MWO Repair Tool to accomplish this.

If you're using Steam though, you need to really need to learn where the MWO stored data is at....

Delete the folder. The contents will recreate themselves anyways.
