I don't think you're cut out for online multiplayer games my man.
Bads deserve no sympathy at all and should be mercilessly mocked at every opportunity until they are shamed into gitting gud.
Even then, you only mock the turbo bads, people who are just mediocre are worth nurturing.

Why should someone do or care what other randome internet guys do or say?
Challenges? Thats what the real life is for, they pay the bills.
Git Gud, for sure i would invest time and energy for it, if it pay my bills or improves my life.
Mattering about a virtual computergame without any means but relaxing and having fun?
No way, my time is to valuable to care about a virtual computer game or some random internetguy.
And germans are allready called potatos.
For the muricas:
Yes we dont be called "krauts" anymore and no we dont have the little darkhaired man with a preference for big blond boys as ruler anymore.

Unfortunatelly if PGI did it differently (properly) then most T1 won't get a
game within 15 minutes during the lowest population period.
Serious question: What would be preferable? Not playing or playing with potatoes?

Are you aware, that you qualify for a potatoe yourself?
At least for those people who only judge other players by their kdr or their average damage/matchscore. Because for them that is all that matters.
I would call your stats decent, but many of them would not. They would call you a potatoe.

Are you asking for a safe space in the forums ? I LOL'ed at you being triggered on behalf of the potatoe populace of MWO.
On a more serious note, despite being a potatoe myself, I never block players, always communicate with the team and go along with a plan even if its a bad one as opposed to camping, I try my very best to aid fellow players in a jam. But one can only do so much while belonging to Tier 4 where more matches than not there's next to no communication between players and zero strategy.

If you dont want to improve why bother playing? After all playing is about learning and improving.
That's half of human kinds evolvement. Playing around with stuff and learing how it works.
If you start small and are willing to improve be my guest, I am not considering these people potatoes.
Anybody else get into the potato salad pot.
Sorry no, playing a game is not necessarily about learning and improving. That would be going to work, or taking some type of class or learning a new skill. That is learning and improving. Games, and especially a game such as MWO, are played to have fun. I don't play to get better, that may or may not be a by-product of my fun, but I play to have some stompy robot laser bfg fun.

I thought the MechWarrior and BT player base was known to be helpful to new players or players who don't understand the games. So much for that idea. While people standing 300m behind the circle in domination and sniping uselessly drives me bonkers, I have to say this type of attitude is just wrong.

MWO isn't the BT player base. PGI intentionally targeted the eSports community, instead.
Even going so far as to shirk the "Sim" moniker in favor of "Shooter".
Better likelihood of finding it in the HBS forums.
Toxicity here has been rampant since before Coolant Flush and 3rd person.

You only need to look at the New Player section of the forums to see that this isn't true. We help other people if they are willing to be helped. The vitriol directed at these 'potatoes' is more towards those people that you frequently drop with, and you know that if you drop with them it's not going to be a good match - for one or more reasons.
I can understand poor aim, because not everyone is born equal when it comes to reflexes, and some people don't have the investment in computer equipment for ultra smooth gameplay. I can understand occasional derps, because we've ALL done it at some point or another. Experienced players make FEWER mistakes, not NO mistakes.
But what makes a potato a potato, to my understanding, is the lack of learning capacity. These players just aren't willing to cooperate with the team or listen to any advice being given. These are the chronic alpha-at-everything-you-see players, regardless of map heat or their own mech's current heat, or even at the range of the enemy in question. These are the players that seem to lack the common sense in avoiding active firing lanes of teammates, or block retreat paths, despite you knowing that they've been playing for a LONG time. A single sighting of a new player doing silly things isn't going to qualify them as a potato - they're simply new players requiring guidance. It's those people who have been around for some time that continue to make the same silly mistakes that earn the name.
These players drive me up the wall. And I make a point of disposing of them with extreme prejudice if they ever end up on the opposing team, if only to spare them and their teammates from the inevitable yelling over VoIP at the end of the match.

Absolute nonsense !
So you want to tell me since you entered the MWO tutorial or whatever was around when
you started you have not learnt or improved ANYTHING? Not how to steer your mech, not how to run around on new maps, not how to play all the new mechs, not how to do anything beyond moving forward anf backward.. and even that required a certain amount of learning
What you more likely want to tell me is that you dont want to learn and improve beyond a certain point because you are content with whatever skill you have.
And dont give me the "for fun" bullsh1t... if for some strange reason from now on you will only face EMP guys and the highest damage you will ever do is 10 then you either improve beyond your comfort zone or you wont have any fun at all.
Do you know how hard it is for somebody to always being forced to carry potatoes?
You play for fun and thereby ruining somebody else game experience which is winning=fun.
And BTW.. the "playing for fun" crowd are the first to call "cheater" as soon as somebody else is consistently better than them.
